Chapter 1: Ms. Shim and Mr. Lee

She was walking straight to her office, employees bow their head to show respect to her. "Good morning ma'am" One of the employees greeted her. The woman named Shim Suryeon smiled back at the person who greeted her and continued to walk to her office with her trusted secretary. The secretary opened the door and she straightly went to her office chair and sat down. "So what;s new?" She firmly asked. "The sales of this month went down to 2.5 percent, ma'am." her secretary answered, bowing her head afraid that her boss might get mad at her. Suryeon stood up and touch her secretary's shoulder. "2.5 percent is just small drop but that drop can cause damage to this company, so better work for more effective sales. I want a good and better report next time, Secretary Kang." Suryeon answered and went back to her chair, sat down and opened her laptop. She opened her laptop and the first thing that pop-up to her notification was her father begging for her to come back to their family house. She ignored the message and continue working.

The day was so long for her as there's nothing much to do this day, she went back to her apartment. As she went back to her big apartment, she was shocked it was opened. When all she remember she lock it. She nervously open the door and the first thing who caught her eye was a big old man sitting on the couch and a young woman beside him. "My daughter!" Prime minister Shim explained and went towards her daughter to embrace her but Suryeion refused. Instead she went to her sister, Cheon Seojin and embraced her tightly. "How are you, Seojin-ah?" Suryeon asked and smile. "I'm fine,unnie. Dad wants you to go back to our house now. So please, let our dad's wish be fulfilled, unnie." Seojin replied and touch her sister's hand. Suryeon stand up and shrugged her head as a sign of disagreement. "As I said, I don't have any plans to go back there. You can now leave. I am tired, I want to rest." Suryeon said pointing out to door insisting them to leave. "Suryeon-ah, don't you want to be with dad anymore? I can give you a better life like this." Suryeon looked at her father and smirked. "Tsk. Better life? Since when did you gave me a better life? I have so much better life right now than before. So don't ruin it and just leave this house as soon as possible or else I'll call the guards to get you out of here. I don't wanna see you anymore, so better leave." Suryeon said pushing them to the door. Prime Minister Shim and Seojin can't do anything but just leave. Suryeon throws herself to the couch and just lays down and stares at the ceiling. Is this how should my life would be?

The next morning, she woke up still the same. Nothing makes her happy anymore except working and getting a good rate of sales for her company. She stares at herself through the mirror. "What a great morning" she said and just smiled a little bit trying to comfort herself. She gets ready and when everything is done.She went to the parking lot and drive to her office. She enter to her big company that she establish by her own without the help of anyone. Everyone is respecting her, they know she is really a cold person but after all they knew that she is kind and have a good heart to anyone. Her secretary immediately fixed herself and walk towards their CEO. "A good news for you, maam." Suryeon smiles when hearing the word good news. She nods as a signal for her to continue. "Still number one and as what you told me yesterday, we are having business proposal with the board members and executive today maam. " Suryeon was confused with what would be the proposal is. "Do you know what will be the proposal about?" She asked, the secretary answered"Yes maam."

"So what is it?" Suryeon asked her again, and the secretary smiled. They reached her office, she first opened the door for Suryeon, then Su ryeon walked towards her chair and sat down. "Please continue." Suryeon commanded. "The proposal would be about the new furniture company that we are going to establish near in Myeongdong. The lot has been confirmed and a lot of Company's CEO were trying to reach out to you personally.Another good news is the airline that you have been working hard for to establish has been completed. New aircraft were delivered here early this morning. That's all maam. " She smiled and bowed her head. "Good Job, Kang Biseo. Thank you for that good news, you may now leave." Suryeon replied. She looked at her side table and saw a picture of her and her mom. She gets the picture frame and stares at it. "Eomma, your princess is now a queen. I'll prove to you that your sacrifice will never be wasted. Saranghae, eomma." A teardrop fell from her eyes and when she felt she was on the verge of crying. She immediately wiped her tears and fixed herself. I will make sure everything will be perfect for me and for this company.

On the other side, a silhouette of a man sipping wine is seen. "Deeply in thoughts"

He turned on the lights and opened her laptop. He saw news about the company which has been on top for several days. "I have to find her darkest secret so that I can bring her down and her lovely company. " He whispered and smirked. He was working on his laptop when a message popped up.

"Hey, wanna go have a date with me?"

He cringes seeing the text, "Jeezzz, when will this woman stop bothering me." He powered off his phone and continued working with his laptop. He became bored of the things he was doing and it came to the point that he stalked his rival's company and its CEO. He searched the name on his browser and a lot of good things and good articles were written about her. He saw her picture, and was shocked to see her that close even if it is just a picture, "She is beautiful but there's something in her that is off." He thought and continued scrolling on his laptop. Then he saw an article about her family.

The headline says;

The daughter of the Prime Minister of Korea, Shim Suryeon, built her own company without her father's help.

He finds it fishy knowing that rich people will help each other just to reach the top but in the case of his rival. It seems like it is far from what he expected.I have to dig more about her story so maybe then I can bring her down. Let's start the game, Ms. Shim...
