Chapter 11: Everything will be alright

Logan can't settle into his chair after what really happened today. It was like a dream for him. He texted Shim Suryeon and even asked, "Is this a kind of mafia team?" Suryeon replied to his message. "Shut up! Of course not! We are just a team but not mafia. Wake up from your very wild dreams." Logan was shocked by what she replied. He thinksThis woman really had a low temper, I am just asking. Then he replied back "Okay. Chill." Then he never got a reply from Suryeon. He just shrugged his head and just went back to what he is really supposed to do.

After an hour, he saw that Suryeon was not in her office anymore. To look like he is not concerned, he just shrugged off that thought and just kept on working.

Meanwhile, Suryeon was in the parking lot, getting something from her car. After she got it, she texted her secretary that she will go home early this time. But what she really meant is she was working for something. She went directly to their safe place, opened her bag and got the documents and papers that include the case about her mother's death, and Stella's death and her accident. Their accident happened at the same time. So she thought they were both victims of the same person. She connected the dots, but she was having a hard time understanding the clue. She opened her closet and she saw the box that her mother left her before she died. There's one letter there that she still hasn't opened. She opened the box and read the letter. And there is a phrase that catches her attention.

"Find the truth, justice will follow"

When she read the whole letter, Her tears slowly fell down from her eyes, she felt it, she knew it. Everything happened, Her mom knew it all alone. Her mom knew everything, even her death. She feels that her mom already knew she was gonna die that day. There's only one question left, and this is the most important question, one more step then can now fully know the truth. But somehow she concluded that there is something wrong with all the evidence she got. She felt like there was a big hole inside it. Even though she will be able to find the truth, it is not yet enough. She was frustrated finding out the truth not knowing there is someone who maybe knew the whole truth. She remembered that there is a videotape that her mother gave to her along with the letter and the necklace. She inserted the videotape to the old cd player and watched what's inside it.

Her knees weakened after watching it.

On the other side, there's two people, one is alive and one is in a coma. "Isn't it nice? Having you hear stuck but still breathing. You should be grateful you are still alive. Should I cut the line?" The person talking in monologue. The person was about to pull out the plug but a thought came to his mind. "Oh I will just let you suffer more. Bye."

Back to Shim Suryeon, she saw the whole videotape then she realized that the truth she was looking for was just near to her.

It is not yet the right time to make a move. I'll do this next time. A lot of innocent people will be involved if I do not think of my actions carefully.

She thought. She drove back to the Shim Mansion. She opened the door and she saw her sister. Seojin hugged her tight. "Unnie, I miss you so much," Seojin said in a very loving voice. "So do I, uri Seojin-ah." She replied and kissed her temple. She was about to go to her room when she heard her father's voice. "Now you are going back here after disappointing me?" She got pissed off. "This house doesn't even yours, abeoji" She said and smirked. Her father held her wrist, she was hurt but she stayed put to her emotions. "Do you think you can hurt me? As how you hurt my mother." Her father immediately let go of her wrist and was just shocked into his standing position. "Now tell me if I am still a disappointment. I am your daughter, remember? So obviously I got all this attitude from you!" She said and smirked. She headed to her room and got her things out. She left the place but her sister called her. "Unnie, take care, okay?" She nods and smile to her softly. She left the mansion and moved somewhere else.

Everything will be alright. She said to herself.
