Chapter 7: Misery and Mystery

Logan woke up early to prepare for his work, driving to Shimwoon company. While driving to ShimWoon company, he receives a text from his secretary.

Sir, Ms. Oh, is here at your office.

He suddenly cursed. "Oh, shit!" He drove fast to his office. When he arrived at Shimwoon corp, all the employees greeted him and he just bowed and ran towards his office. And he saw President Shim and Ms. Oh talking to each other. He suddenly got nervous. "Good Morning."He greeted them. "Good Morning too, Mr. Lee" Suryeon replied and went back to her office. Logan's office is just besides of Suryeon's office so basically they can see each other's face since the wall is just a glass so they can really see each other.

"So Logan, are you running away from me?" Oh Yoon Hee said and touched Logan's collar. Logan throws away Yoon Hee's hand. "What do you need from me?"

"I just wanna say my condolences." Yoon hee replied, Logan rolled his eyes and just sat down on his swivel chair. Oh Yoon Hee was talking but his eyes were focused on Shim Suryeon, who was doing something in front of her laptop. Oh Yoon Hee noticed that his eyes were just looking at Shim Suryeon but not on her so she got pissed off and put down the blinds. "What the heck?!" Logan got mad. "What?! Don't tell me you like Shim Suryeon?" Yoon Hee asked. "Of course not." Logan being defensive. "I gotta go. I have so much work to do." Yoon Hee bids a goodbye and leaves Logan's office. Logan opens the pull up the blinds and Suryeon is not in her office anymore. Logan just focused on his work and prepared for the first meeting he will attend.

After doing all the things he had to do, he prepared for his meeting with the board members of Shimwoon corp. Employees were so scared of him, as he showed no emotions. The marshall assisted him towards the conference room and saw such big names board members of Shimwoon Company. He can tell that Shim Suryeon is a really great Chief Executive Officer of this company. He went inside and he saw Shim Suryeon looking at her papers. He stared at her for a long time. "Good Morning to everyone, board members and to the two CEOs we have today. Ceo of Lee Corp, Mr. Logan Lee and Ceo of Shimwoon Corp, Ms. Shim Suryeon." The secretary of Shm Suryeon announces the attendees of the meeting. The meeting started, Logan didn't get bored as Shim Suryeon is a good speaker. But he notices something, she never smiles, as other CEOs always do. Everyone is serious, he thinks deeply, and a thought comes inside his mind. Does the CEO of this company have a bad past or a bad present?

The meeting was done and everyone just listened and had a great discussion of the new projects of both companies. "President Shim!" Logan called her suddenly. Suryeon looks back and raises her eyebrow. "Yes?" Logan was too stunned with Suryeon's firm voice and sudden raised eyebrow. "Oh, nothing. I just want to invite you for lunch." Logan said shyly. "Sorry?" Shim Suryeon went near Logan, which made Logan step backwards. "Oh... nothing." Logan takes back his words. "Okay, then. Let me just remind you. I never went to lunch with anyone. So if you invite me for lunch it should be for business matters. So Mr. Lee, I have a lot of work to do. Let me just leave you here." Suryeon said and went straight back to her office. Logan's heart beating so fast. "Jeezzz, why is my heart beating so fast? That woman really makes me nervous. This mind can really ruin my whole plan." Logan talking to himself. He shrugged his head and just went back to his office instead.

After an hour, his secretary knocks on his door. "Mr. Lee, President Shim is here," Her secretary said. "Come in." Logan immediately commanded. "Mr. Lee, we have to visit the new branch of the furniture company, you have to be there at 3 pm. Don't be late, I don't like late comers." Suryeon said coldly and just left his office. Logan didn't bother to reply since Suryeon already went out. He just prepares all his things, from 1 hour before 3 pm. While he was preparing, Suryeon's secretary went inside his office, "Mr. Lee, you and President Shim will be in one car only." Logan was shocked to hear that. "What?! In one car?!" He said being in shocked. "Yes, Mr. Lee. That's what President Shim wants." The secretary replied. "But!" He was about to complain but the secretary left his office. He just rubs his head in frustration. What the hell does she think?
