The Good Mafia

Chapter Two

Finally I reached at my destination with hurry. As I walk into the chaos of the hotel ad it's the tourist season and people are checking in and out.

    I go to my desk but see that our manager is already there and not looking very happy.

"Welcome Miss Rose I thought you will be here after lunchtime" he says in a sarcastic way.

"Good morning Mr. Moose" I say because I don't have anything else to say to him.

"A very good morning indeed but not for you Miss Rose"he says glaring at me. And I look down because I am pretty much guilty today.

"I don't think you like this job very much as I see you have come 30 minutes late"he says.
"I am really sorry Mr Moose this will never happen again" I say looking down.

     He looks at me and sighs as he says "today is the last warning for you as you work hard but after this you will be fired and no excuses or sorry would be accepted". He just leave my desk and I am standing there shook as hell, can't believe that I am not getting fired today.

"Get to work Miss Rose" he shouts from behind. I get out of my trance and start working.

    As the day goes I can see that it really is the busiest day because people are coming and going, we are fully booked and there is no room empty.I work at the main desk but I am kind of multitasker here because every small job is given to me.

    Although I am late at work but I am the last one to go always because they think that I can do everything from doing paperwork to managing this hotel in every department.

    I here orders all around me coming through for whole day and still I do manage to complete them. So I am kind of pushover here because they think I am a robot not a human who they can order around and will do any work without any problem.

    Now I am at my desk and doing the last paperwork needed. I see our watchman coming towards me with a file in his hand and I know it's more work for me.

"Hello Miss Rose this file came through to be given to Mr. Romano"he says.And I am confused as I never once met him personally. He is the owner of this hotel and he stays in his penthouse here which is at the top floor of this hotel.

    He does go out but I am so busy in my work that I don't get to see him much but I have seen that he is always with his bodyguards. He looks like he is in mafia or something.

"Miss Rose can you please give this file to Mr Romano" the watchman speaks again.

   As there is no one other then me here I don't have any option and have to give this to him personally.I take the file from him and tell him that I will give this to him.

    I take the file and go towards the direction where lifts are. This building is very big as it has almost 30 floor and his penthouse is at 30th floor.

    As I reach at the 30th floor the lift opens up to a big door of his penthouse. I move towards the door but as I am a very clumsy person, I fall. The papers of the file fly away in all directions as I try to gather myself from the fall.I try to collect all the papers but in all of that my eyes land on the contents of files and I am shocked.

I know I am not that good as a writer but I will try to write this story with full dedication.
