Evelyn's Apartment
7 AM

It was early in the morning when Evelyn woke up to the noise of dishes clattering. For a moment, she panicked, wondering who might be in her apartment...until she remembered who she had invited in last night.

With a groan, Evelyn lifts her head to realize she wasn't in her bedroom but on the living room couch, where she must've fallen asleep while talking to her guest

With a groan, Evelyn lifts her head to realize she wasn't in her bedroom but on the living room couch, where she must've fallen asleep while talking to her guest. There was a blanket covering her, a blanket she didn't remember getting for herself. As more dishes clatter in the kitchen, Evelyn gets up with a sigh and walks over to the source of the noise, her hair thrown up into a messy bun and her eyes still drowsy.

Walking into the kitchen, Evelyn is greeted with the sight of the infamous Klaus Mikaelson. Now, when someone heard his name, all that could be imagined was bloodshed, war, fear. But right now, the sight of him before Evelyn's eyes was one that most were never fortunate enough to see.

Klaus Mikaelson was in her kitchen, wearing her "not all superheroes wear capes, some wear aprons," apron while making bacon, eggs and pancakes. He moved so gracefully around the kitchen as he held a pan in his hands and effortlessly flipped the eggs like a professional chef. It seemed as though he had been cooking in this kitchen for years now, knowing where things were and cooking as if it was his own place.

When Evelyn finally snapped out of the daze and realized she was staring, she cleared her throat, walking further into the kitchen and setting up the coffee machine.

The sudden noise caused Klaus to turn around and he for a second, he couldn't help but smile at the sight he was greeted with. Evelyn stood there in her floral pajama rompers with her hair falling out around her face while a bun barely held it all together. Even this early into the morning, she looked serene in his eyes. Her cheeks were flushes red and eyes glazy as the morning sun shone into the house.

Klaus' thought drift off to how natural this felt- him making breakfast for someone other than himself, someone waking up and greeting him with that enchanting smile of their...a smile that, alone, could make everyday worth it. He marveled over how peaceful and at ease he felt in this very moment. How none of his worries were truly worrying him right now, all because she was standing before him, looking like a beautiful mess. All because she smiled at him.

All because she smiled at him
