Irene tried to fix herself before leaving the comfort room after receiving a message from Taehyung that he has already arrived at the said place
She hurriedly went upstairs since their table was located at the second floor of the café. As soon as she saw him sitting down while looking at his black cartier wristwatch, she called the waiter before joining him.
"no need" taehyung nonchalantly said while looking down
"2 cup of Americano please" she uttered to the waiter and gave him a smile before leaving
"Americano? huh" he said under his breathe just enough for Irene to hear, he then gave her a snigger
"we both love to drink americano, from what I remember we used to order that one everytime we go out on a date" she said while tapping her fingernails to the table
"are we here to date?" he responded leaving no evident of emotions in his voice
"I mean if you want to?" Irene lowkey teased still trying to display a smile on her face
"Bae Joo Hyun" he called out that makes Irene lose her smile that she's been showing since tae has arrived
"what? It's been a long time since you call me by my complete name and I don't see anything wrong with us dating again besides..." she was about to finish her statement when Taehyung interrupted her words
"besides what? from what I also remember you decided to end our relationship the moment you heard you're getting engaged with suho and now what?" his voice is slowly raising but he knows his limit, he tried to stay calm by letting out a deep sigh to avoid fuss
"and you think it's easy for me to end our relationship just like that?"
"you already did" tae said then stood up from the chair
Upon hearing his response, Irene looked away from his gaze, because she doesn't know what to say anymore. She knows that everything that happens between them was all her fault and that she can't blame him if ever he decided to reject her for the second time
"tae" she said in a soothing voice
he went back to his seat and remained silent
she let out a deep sigh before facing him again and searched for tae's hand and fortunately her hand landed on his
"we can still fight for us, we can make it work, let's make it work love just give me one more chance and I'll prove myself to you please love?" Irene pleaded and is in the verge of crying
Taehyung found himself frozen when he heard the word love, they used to call each other love back then, their call sign love was his idea
Hearing her call him love again makes him reminisce all the sweet and unforgettable moments that they shared with each other
'it's been a while' he thought
"Let me fight for us this time, you just have to love me again love, I'm breaking up with Suho if that's what you want, just give me one more chance to make everything right" she said as tears started to flow unceasingly placing tae's right palm on her cheek
"love" he said with bitterness and retracted his hand from Irene
He chuckled bitterly before responding, he hate the fact that he become delicate everytime he saw Irene crying, even before they broke up
He never won in every arguments that they had before because he always let her win, what can he do? Irene was his first love and the only girl that turns him into a better man, he was a mess before but Irene made him the person that he is today.
He thought he wanted this, isn't this the main purpose of his fake relationship with jisoo? He loves her , he wanted to try getting back to her but is it fair enough? Is it worth fighting for?
But looking back at those days and months that he spent with jisoo, he realized that the girl that he wants to spend his whole life was not Irene but Jisoo.
He stood up and turned his back to leave the place, Irene tried to call his name for so many times but he decided to ignore her.
reaching out at the exit of the café, he felt like a thousand of knife was piercing his heart when he saw jisoo bowing her head while walking with her red puffy eyes
He tried approaching her but seems like jisoo didn't notice his presence and walked past him. He pulled her wrist that made her face him with startled look
He pulls her closer to his chest and wrap his arms around her.
He was hugging her.
Jisoo who can't seem to process the situation found herself burried in his chest she slowly raised her both arms to hug him back.
They are like a puzzle peice that can't be complete without each
other
"It's okay to cry out loud sometimes" he said trying to comfort her by patting her back slowly and gently
rain started to drop
"you're also human, crying doesn't mean we are weak, it's okay to meltdown just don't unpack and live there, cry it out loud you can always lean on me" he added that made jisoo lament loudly
She has no idea why but his words sends her comfort, she feels comfortable in his arms
He feels like home.
