'VICTORY'

"Theres another win for us guys!" Martin cheered as he congratulated his team in triumph. "2 more games and we're in Gold Division!"

"We can do this boys!" Jackson cried down the mic. As they both settled down into their last two games of Call Of Duty, something caught the corner of Martin's eye.

"Hold on guys, my phones ringing", he said as he rose from his seat. "Someone cover me, while I take this phone call". Pacingly, he walked over to a table where his phone was placed, to see himself receiving a call from Danny. Trying to do everything as quick as he could, he whisked the phone off the table and held it tightly towards his ear. "Hello?" Martin hastily said.

"Dude, you'll never believe it!!" Danny said excitedly down the phone.

"What? And hurry up I'm in a league play. We're two away from the win"

Danny gladly exclaimed "Violet, she... she asked me out!" His voice grew high.

"Umm, cool?" He replied, "If this is all you wanted to say then why not just text me".

"Because it's a big thing! Why wouldn't you care for us anymore. You said you wished it would happen", Danny's face exploited dissapointment.

"Okay fine, bravo on your relationship, now if you don't mind, I have a game to attend to!" Martin urgently ended the call, putting his phone in his right trouser pocket, and ran back to the sofa. "Sorry I took so long", he explained, setting himself back in position. "Danny just wanted to say...."

"SHUT UP!" Martin was rudely interupted

"I'm... sorry? Jackson whats the matter?"

"YOU AND YOUR STUPID DISTRACTIONS. MAYBE TAKE A CLEAR LOOK AT YOUR FLIPPING TV, AND SEE THAT IT SAY DEFEAT!"

Martin took a wide glance to see his team had been beaten by 5 points. "Dude, I told you I'm sorry. It's just a game man, no need to get angry"

"NO NEED TO GET ANGRY? YOUR THE ONE ALWAYS SAYING 'GAMING IS SERIOUS'. YOU KNOW WHAT MARTIN, GO FIND OTHER TEAMMATES, COZ WE'RE OUT".

Without a moment to reply, Jackson had been disconnected from Martin. 'But... it wasn't my fault'. He stood up, grabbing his controller and threw it against the wall. "F*** YOU DANNY, NOW I'VE LOST A GAME, AND A FRIEND". At this point, Martin's face was red. "I need to calm down", he said to himself, and stormed up the stairs to his bedroom. There he lay flat on his back, effortless, and in defeat. Slowly, he started to close his eyes and took very slow, deep breathes. *bleep* His phone vibrated. *bleep* It shook again, but this time more violently it dropped onto the floor. Leaning over to pick up his phone, he noticed a message from Danny. It read 'IF YOUR SO CONCERN ABOUT YOUR STUPID XBOX MORE THAN ME, THEN DON'T EVER TALK TO ME AGAIN. HAVE FUN WITH JACKSON'. The message ended.

Martin was speechless, he felt lost, and guilty. He put his phone volume on silent, and then went to sleep.

'Martin, are you ok?'

'Hellooo, why aren't you answering'

'Srsly, stop ignoring me, your starting to freak me out'

'Maaaarttiiiiinnn, what are you doing'

The list kept on expanding per minute. Soon enough, it was 6:00 pm.

'MARTIN!'

Martin woke up feeling the vibrant movement of his phone. It has fallen of his table onto the bed. He glanced at his home screen to be suprised by the amount of unread messages he had receiven. '214 unread messages from Samia Ashwood'. Shocked, but tired, Martin managed to reply 'hi' before getting a reply from samia quoting ''FINALLY, WHERE DID U GO FOR LIKE 5 HOURS, SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED!

'Sorry, I fell asleep... I was feeling low :/ Why what happened?'

'Oh, nothing xD I just wanted to get your attention'

' -_- I should probably get up now'

'Why we're you feeling down?'

'Nothing, just, people angry at me. I felt unwanted' He stood up straight, and then walked back downstairs, turning on his TV. He explained the whole story to Samia, who then gave back advice on what to do. After a long conversation, Martin decided to turn back on his Xbox to see if anyone was online. Coincidentally, Jackson was playing a game alone, and invited him to a chat.

"Hey, I'm sorry about earlier. You're right, It's just a game. I shouldn't have taken it out on you", Jackson apologized.

"No, its my fault, lets just pretend this never happened, agreed?"

"Agreed", Jackson replied. "Now you wanna get back into those leagues?"

"Do I want to? Heck yeah! Gaming just got serious".

Throughout the rest of the day, Jackson and Martin successfully managed to rank their way back up to where they left off.

"Lets not screw up this time, Ok?" Jackson said.

"Okay :)" Martin answered back.

Both boys were sat up straight, ready for an intense battle. Halfway through the game, they we're already over powering the enemy team. With accuracy so precise, it was like hitting a direct bullseye on a dart board.

"THIS SKILL THO!" Jackson exclaimed, as they both laughed over themselves.

"One more capture and we're done", Martin screamed.

"3... 2... 1..."

'Capture Registered'

"YES!!!" They screamed in delight, "Teamwork or what?" Said Martin.

"We're through, we've officially done it!"

"We...."

*Jacksons voice cut off*

Martin's wifi had been disconnected. "WHAT THE.... MUUUUUMMM!! WHY DID YOU TURN THE WIFI OFF". He looked up at a clock to see the time was 12:00 am. "Oh", he realised. And with a smile of victory made his way to bed. Before going to sleep, he texted Danny a message saying, 'Hey dude, I'm sorry about before. I shouldn't have been so selfish. I'm really glad you and Violet are together! Thats amazing! Anyways, I should get some sleep now, text me back when you get this ok?' And with that, Martin dropped into his bed, and fell fast asleep

*bleep*

'TOO LATE, YOUR 'SELFISHNESS' CAUSED ME TO GO THROUGH PAIN. WE'RE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE MARTIN. WE ARE NOT F*****G FRIENDS...
