-Akaashi’s pov-

**warning, this chapter has sa in it. It may be very triggering, please read at your own risk. And with that comes pg-13 themes, this is for the plot, and don't make it something it isn't. It won't be incredibly nsfw or anything.**

Akaashi realized that he had had a good night's sleep for the first time in a long while. He assumed it was because of the fact that he had slept in his mother's bed. Even as a child he always slept better when the two were cuddling.

He woke up alone though, and when he checked the clock, he knew that his mother's absence was due to her getting ready for work. Akaashi decided to get ready for school a little earlier today. He didn't have anything better to do with his time, and he wasn't going to be able to sleep in any longer.

Akaashi stretched out his body and made his way to his room. On his way there he heard his mother in the bathroom, and he smiled. His relationship with her seemed to be on the road to getting better. It made him both sad that they even needed to be getting better in the first place, but as long as they could get along now, he didn't mind.

She actually hates you, and she wishes she had never had you.

"That's probably not true."

Even the sound part of Akaashi’s brain was curious if his mother still held the same affection towards him as she did when he was a child.

Before he had become anxious and irritable, before he had distanced himself.

Before everything went wrong.
Before he had become this...

---

Akaashi had cried while he was getting ready this morning, his eyes were red and puffy. Looking at himself in the mirror made him sick, and his inner thoughts made him want to scream.

Why did this have to happen to him.

Why did he have to ruin everything. Ruin his relationship with his mother, ruin his past friendships, ruin his life.

It's because you're worthless, you did this to yourself because you deserve it.

"I know..."

---

When he checked the clock and saw the time, Akasshi sighed and prepared himself to go to school. To deal with all the people that he knew would mess with him. Like somehow they knew that he was especially vulnerable today.

He was glad to have friends that could relate to his situation, but no one truly knew what Akaashi was going through. And he had no real idea of what anyone else was going through. It was the curse of being an individual. Being alone in your experiences.

Bzz bzz

Akaashi felt his phone buzz in his pants pocket. He pulled it out and saw that Bokuto had messaged him.

Hey hey hey kaashi, u ready for me to pick u up?

Akaashi looked at the message and responded with a simple 'yes'. He didn't have the energy to put much more behind the message. Besides, he would be able to talk to Bokuto once he got to Akaashi’s house.
