-Akaashis pov-
Bokuto had taken Akaashi to the hospital, insisting that he carry Akaashi the whole way there. It was only a 5 minute walk from the school building which was very convenient for the two.
"Bokuto, you really don't have to carry me. I can walk just fine." Akaashi wasn't truly complaining about being carried by his friend. It was actually very comforting, Bokuto's arms felt strong and safe. Although there was the occasional twitch, Akaashi knew that bokuto would never drop him.
"Hush, you're hurt... let me do this for you please." Bokuto had said the second half of the statement softly. It made Akaashi immediately give up any protest. Bokuto sounded concerned and frankly, Akaashi thought he sounded...guilty?
"Hey Bokuto, why are your arms twitching every so often. Am I heavy to carry?" Akaashi was a self conscious person, and although he knew that Bokuto was physically very strong, he couldn't help but wonder if his own weight was making the older male struggle.
"Oh no kaashi, I've just been moving really weird lately. Like my hands and arms twitch and move a lot. It weird I know." He nervously chuckled and slightly adjusted the way he was carrying Akasshi. Bokuto made a surprised face, and slowed his walk a bit. Akaashi made a move to get down, assuming that's what the slow down was for.
"Can you call your mom before we walk in?" Bokuto very slightly tightened his grip, showing that he would carry Akaashi the whole way. It made Akaashi wonder what his friends thought process was. He could walk on his own, and besides the increasingly rising pain in his hands, he was fine physically. Emotionally, he wasn't sure how to feel.
Akaashi sighed and did as Bokuto requested. As he pulled the phone to his ear and heard the ringing, he saw the outline of the hospital rise up in front of them. He clenched his hand onto Bokuto's uniform shirt. Which only stung, and stained the white cloth with dirt and blood. It didn't seem to bother Bokuto.
"Yes Keiji? Shouldn't you be on your way home with Bokuto-kun right now?" His mother had picked up after a few moments and sounded worried. Akaashi was panicking knowing what building he would have to enter very soon.
"Something happened to me during school hours and I ended up taking out my emotions on myself. I punched a wall until I split my knuckles open, and fell asleep outside of the building." He paused for a moment, looking up at Bokuto. The older male smiled at him softly. They were right in front of the hospital at this point. "Bokuto insisted on taking me to the hospital after he found me. Speaking of we are right outside of it." He felt like crying and had to swallow a lump in his throat.
"Get checked in and I'll be there as soon as I can ok?" His mother sounded even more concerned after hearing the explanation. Akaashi could hear movement from the other side of the phone.
"Ok, I love you." His voice had become small, and that lump wasn't going away.
"I love you too Keiji." She hung up with a click. And Akaashi sighed. He hated hospitals for many reasons, and many of the things in them scared him. He was emotionally drained from the days events. But even at full capacity his heart couldn't handle these sort of visits.
"Kay kaashi, I'm going to set you down now and we're gonna make sure that you get those hands looked at okay?" Bokuto very gently set Akaashi onto his feet. Akaashi still had one hand clenched onto his friends shirt. He didn't want to let go.
"I hate these places.." Akaashi muttered out as he slowly released his fingers from his lifeline. He was shaking, and his ruined knuckles were hot with pain. The adrenaline had very much worn off at this point.
Bokuto gave him a warm smile, "I'll be right here with you the whole time, don't worry." There was a certain heat radiating off of Bokuto's body, and I made Akaashi feel safe. Even though he was stepping through the front doors of a hospital.
Akaashi couldn't understand why Bokuto liked him so much, and would go to such lengths to make sure Akaashi was ok.
And why was Akaashi afraid to lose him...
