There I was, walking down the busy streets of downtown LA. Looking back over my shoulder, trying to let everything go. As I continue to walk, I also look up. I read the huge billboards and thought "wow, I'm really out here".. so many colors and faces everywhere, almost too much to take in. But at the same time, just the right amount.
*bumps shoulders with someone*
Male: Oh excuse me!
Yn: Oh don't worry, I'm okay! Happens a lot!
Male: Are you alone?
Yn: Yeah why?
Male: Got a place to stay?

No I don't, but I'm not going to say that

Yn: Yeah- Yeah I do actually.
Male: Okay cool, you got a number?
Yn: Actually I don't, a-and I got to go. I'm sorry *turns away*
Male: You're lying.
Yn: No I'm not. See you later
Male: *grabs me by the arm* Listen. I'm not so easy to get ride of.
My heart started racing, frozen in fear, not knowing how to respond.
Younger male: E-excuse me.
The male and I look at him.
Male: *rude tone* What?
Younger male: Oh it is you, Courtney *gives you an assuring look*
Yn: O-oh hey *gulps* Dude! I'm sorry I told mom I was on my way home!
Younger male: are you bringing company? *looks at male aggressively*
Male: *releases my arm* No. not anymore *walks away*
I look over to the younger male
Yn: Thank you so much, um?
Younger male: Corey.. and not a problem *holds out hand*
I look down at his hand, forgetting that handshakes were a thing
Yn: Oh- *shakes his hand* Yn.. can I repay you?
Corey: No, it was no trouble. I'm just glad that you're okay.
Yn: Yeah that dude was definitely weird. Also, are you sure?
Corey: I am. I'll hopefully see you around
Corey left me a soft grin then walked away. He joined a group of boys that seemed to look familiar. I couldn't think of who they could have possibly reminded me of though.. so is that it? A not so bad looking man saved my life from a horrible looking man- then just, left?.. well this is going to be a long journey..
