Dew's POV
"You idiot," shrieked Bot. "Earth kicks water's ass. Terrain all the way!"
We were in the car searching for a good place to eat, but it seemed like this town was just giving us nothing. I was trying my best to tune out Bot and Tornado's argument but somewhere between "air helps you breathe" and "no trees make the oxygen that we breathe" my curiosity got the better of me and I tuned in.
"Are you insane? Haven't you seen avatar: the last air bender?" Tornado emphasized the word air. "Ang was a beast."
"Yeah well he eventually masters all elements, including earth," Bot shot back.
"No! It was cancelled before he got that far."
I had no idea if that was true, but it was entertaining watching them argue over a children's television show.
"Nuh uh!" shouted Bot.
"Yep," Tornado said, popping the "p."
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes!"
Desperate to get them to stop arguing I pulled into the parking lot of the next restaurant I saw. I knew they'd stop fighting in public. Hmmm, I looked at the diner. Dee and Ed's Diner. Could be good.
Oomph
I whipped my head around to see that Bot had punched Tornado right in the gut. I burst out laughing. I mean Bot may be small, but she packs one hell of a punch. Especially when you talk crap out her earth.
"Now, now, kids. We're here. If you wan't some food, I-" I was saying, but as soon as I said the word food they jumped.
I got out of the car and met them at the door.
"-and I'll have an omelet with everything in it. You think I could get chocolate in it. Oh, or may ham in it. Oh no, I've got it. Ham ad chocolate." said Tornado.
I scrunched up my face at the thought and Bot did the same.
"Hate to break it to you, airhead, but that's gross," Bot said
"Don't hate, tree hugger," he teased.
Bot used her element to pick up a nice size rock and threw it at the back of Tornado's head as he walked in.
"You little-" he stopped as we all walked in. Suddenly, it felt like there was a string on my heart being tugged. But I felt complete. I knew Bot and Tornado had felt it too because they were both looking at me.
"'Dew, did you feel that?" asked Bot. I nodded my head.
"What was it?"
"I don't know." I answered. "But I think we found fire." I pointed to the girl sitting at the back booth with her eyes closed.
"What do we do?" asked Tornado quietly. This was strange, Tornado was never quiet.
Bot answered this time. "We go sit next to her and talk." She grabbed both of our arms and dragged us to her table.
