Aphrodite was bored.
"What? She had no love lives to mess with?" Percy asked rolling his eyes
She was in her palace in Mount Olympus, and sitting in her "Library". It's a "Library" because it only had a couple books. It was mostly filled with magazines and chick-flick movies. There was also quite a collection of music- that either talked about love, or mentioned her.
"So, if I managed to get some song that had her name in it, APhrdite would hear it? Cool!" Percy said.
Usually if you came to see Aphrodite, you would find her looking at photos of REALLY hot guys, messing with God's love lives, watching movies, messing with mortal's love lives, making out with some random male, reading girly magazines, doing her makeup, massing with love lives, messing with love lives, and messing with love lives.
"EXACTLY! WHY IS THE LADY BORED?"
Not today though! Zeus had banned her from messing with anyone's love lives for two whole weeks. TWO WEEKS! She felt like her soul had been ripped from her body.
"Now you are over reacting..." Percy said.
"No... I don't think so Perce..." Piper said.
Aphrodite had tried to spend some time with her children, but that only reminded her of how many boys were outside cabin ten. Those boys were people she could set up relationships with after all. BUT NOOOOO. Zeus just HAD to ban her from doing what she loved.
"Wow... GOOD JOB ZEUS!!! never thought I would say that..." Percy said.
Suddenly an idea came to her. She stood up and looked in one of her many mirrors. Then her appearance began to change. Usually, when somebody looked at her, they would see what they thought was the most beautiful woman ever. But now, everyone would see the same thing. It probably wasn't what you would expect Aphrodite to look like either.
"So what? She looked like a hobo?" Percy asked, confused.
"I wish!" Annabeth said.
"How could you? After I gave you a live life!" Aphrodite said, with mock disbelief.
In the mirror, Aphrodite saw a woman around twenty looking back at her. She had long, wavy black hair, lovely, dark chocolate colored eyes, and darkish skin. In other words, Gorgeous!
"UGH!" Percy said, "Do you EVER shut up about yourself?"She changed her dress and her earrings and slipped down into the mortal world, into a small town on the outskirts of Manhattan. Her plan; Find a place to stay for thirteen days, then, find someone she could fall in love with - without her belt of course.
Her plan didn't exactly work.
"Hey... mine don't either... wait... DOES THAT MEAN I'M LIKE APHRODITE?!?!?" Percy screamed.
"No."
The town she visited wasn't exactly what you'd expect for one so close to New York. It might as well have been in the past. There was no technology and all the woman wore ankle length dresses. The roads were gravel and cobblestone, there was a well in the middle of town, and everyone believed in the Greek gods. Everyone.
"Good for her then... I guess..." Percy said.
Aphrodite figured it wouldn't be hard to find a place to stay. Since everyone knew about the greek gods and their habits of popping up and asking for shelter, anyone who asked of such, would receive. No one wanted to be labeled sinner by the gods. No one wanted to endure their wrath.
"They haven't killed me yet. They don't HAVE wrath," Percy said smirking."Do you wanna get yourself killed?" Annabeth hissed.
So when a pretty Young lady (Aphrodite) knocked on the door of an old lady's house, she was welcomed straight away. When she want out for an evening walk though, everything fell apart.
"Well, you DID make the plan!" Percy said.
