I shook my head and smiled at Giju.

He had been wanting to meet Codo personally since I met the kid.

He was barely older than him, and a bit obsessed.

"I'll set you guys up on a date once I know he's safe."

Giju raises a brow and looked at me.

"You think I'd hurt him?"

I shook my head.

"You know what I mean."

He nodded, then made a face at the screen.

It was a face of confusion.

"She lives only a few blocks away from you. But, when I looked further into it, it said she has roommates. Three of them. But, here's the odd thing..."

He turned the screen towards me.

She lived in the apartment directly above Codo's flat.

My eyes widened.

"Yeah there's no way I'm letting him go home after this."

"He can always come bunk with me."

I looked at Giju disapprovingly.

He shrugged it off and smiled.

I thought for a moment.

"Okay, there's gotta be some cameras in that building. Could you look into that and see if they are currently there?"

Giju pondered the idea for a moment.

"Well, I doubt it if they have cameras i. their apartment, but you're right about the building having some. Although, I'm not sure if it'll help, since the cameras would be outside their property."

He started typing things again.

"Well, it'll tell us who has walked through that door today."

He looks at me and smiled.

"Calm down. You can't be smarter than me."

I smiled a bit.

As much as I liked Giju and his playful take on things, this was serious.

"It looks like they all came in shortly before the time you found Codo. The cameras don't show them leaving the door or any windows. As long as they can't teleport, they should still be there."

"I'm counting on the possibility that they can't teleport then."

I looked in the general direction of Codo's building.

Never again, would I let someone hurt him so badly.

Not on my watch.

I heard a gun cock behind me.

I whipped my head around, a little too quickly.

Giju was holding a pistol and how had sunglasses on.

"I'll help you out, my feline friend."

I smiled.

"Usually I would decline someone helping me out with something like this, but I'll need your help. Not only are you skilled, but I don't want my emotions to get in the way too much. You'll have to keep me from making irrational decisions."

He smirked and adjusted his glasses.

"I'm afraid it's too late for that. Besides, seeing you angry is entertaining."

We made our way towards the building, Giju on a motorbike below while I jumped from roof to roof.

I landed on the building across the street from our destination.
