"Are you ready love?" I said looking one last time in the mirror.
"I am darling" Tom said giving me a kiss on the cheek and taking the keys of the car.
"God, I'm so so so excited" I said jumping a little before getting inside the car making Tom laugh.
"I know you are. How long have you been friends again?" I bit my lips trying to stop a dumb smile while I remembered my funniest moments with my best friend.
"Almost 15 years, she's more like my sister now" I said sighing.
"I wish I had a friend like that. I love that you do darling" Tom said taking my hand and kissing it softly
"Thanks for accepting to come today, it means a lot" I said returning the kiss and placing my lips softly on his knuckles.
"My pleasure darling" Tom smiled making my heart warm instantly.
After a few minutes of driving we finally made it to my best friends house. I felt my heart trying to leave my chest as I raced to the door knocking excited.
"Darling, the gift" Called Tom from the car. I ran to get the green bag and returned just in time to see my best friend open the door for us.
I screamed, she screamed, and before we knew it we were both in tears.
"Omg, I promised myself I wouldn't cry. But I just can't stop!" I said trying to keep the tears from falling down my face but completely failing.
I stared at my best friend with her big belly and my whole body ached from happiness
"You made me cry too! My make up!" She said holding her tummy with one hand and cleaning her tears with the other.
"Y/BF/N I knew you were pregnant again, but seeing you like this, with your beautiful belly" I stopped cause I started crying again.
Tom approached us and cleared his throat trying to call for our attention.
"Oh sorry love, at the end I did convinced Tom to come!" I said still trying to clean the tears off of my face.
"Y/BF/N, congratulations" Tom said giving my best friend a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you Tom, but please do come in" Y/BF/N said pulling us through the door. Her house was beautifully decorated with balloons and teddy bears baby pink and blue.
Y/BF/N and I sat together on the couch and Tom went with Y/BF/N's husband to get a drink.
"Oh! you do remember Ana don't you? Y/BF/N said as she took the baby from the nanny's arms.
"Of course, Ana how've you been?" The nanny smiled arranging her ponytail
"Great miss, thank you" She said leaving us with my best friend's first child.
"Ohhh let me take her" I begged reaching my arms for the baby.
Y/BF/N smiled and handed me her first born. Something inside me physically ached from love. She was so cute, rose cheeks, plump lips and gorgeous hazel eyes.
"Don't let her fool you, she has an attitude" Y/BF/N said running a hand over her belly.
"Like her mother some might say" I joked and we both laughed. I raised my eyes and found Tom staring at me from afar with a smile on his face, I smiled back and focused back on the pretty little thing in my arms.
The baby shower was incredibly fun and I enjoyed every second with my best friend. Soon it was time for us to leave.
I kissed and hugged my best friend once more and left the party.
"Did you enjoy it?" Tom asked as we drove back to our house.
"Every second" I replied with a huge smile on my face.
We both stayed in silence focusing on our thoughts until we got back home.
The tiredness of the day led us directly into bed.
"Darling" Tom called taking my hand as we cuddled
"Yes?" I raised my face to meet those beautiful baby blue eyes.
"At the party uh... well I've been thinking recently that maybe we could umm we could start thinking of having a baby of our own. I loved seeing you earlier with that baby girl between your arms" My heart stopped completely and I bit my lips real hard trying to refrain myself from screaming.
"Are you serious?" I asked pushing myself on top of Tom.
"Well yes" He said unsure of my reaction.
"Tom!" I screamed excited before kissing him which made him laugh.
"Let make a baby then" My husband whispered in my ear before turning the lights off.
