I smiled clenching my teeth trying to breathe through my nose while Tom spoke with one of the producers of the movie.
"I have to say, this is one of your best movies so far Tom. You really understood the character and gave us what we needed" they laughed politely.
"Thank you John, that's very kind of you but the story itself was amazing" Tom said caressing my back.
"Oh excuse me, I think my wife's calling me. Tom, Y/N, enjoy the evening" John said waving to his wife across the room.
I loved John, he was an incredible producer and a very good friend of Tom, but I couldn't wait for him to shut up tonight.
"Are you alright darling?" Tom asked holding me tighter against him.
"Yes love, I just need to sit down a moment" I said walking to our table followed by Tom.
"Are you sure? You have been uncommonly quiet the last hour or so" Tom held my hand as he stared at me frowning. I nodded smiling softly not wanting to ruin the celebration.
"Yes Tom, I'm alright I promise." I caressed his cheek lovingly trying to reassure him. "I'm so proud of you, you know? Everyone is just talking of how great this move turned out thanks to my husband" Tom laughed and stared at the floor a little embarrassed. I loved how even after all his success he still was very humble.
"Hehehe you were, as always, my main inspiration" He said kissing me.
I drank a couple of sips of water and felt ready to keep walking around the room with Tom, but right when I was about to stand up again my belly tightened making me sigh abruptly. Tom held my hand as I sat back down.
"Y/N darling what wrong?" Tom asked worried.
"I'm alright it just surprised me. I think I'm having a contraction" I explained holding my tummy.
"Are you sure?" Tom asked getting a little nervous. I nodded.
"Yes, but I'm fine. The baby probably won't come for a few hours yet. I'm alright. " He looked at me as if I had just tell him the biggest most obvious lie in the world.
"We should get to the hospital umm, yes we should get the car and..." He said looking around the room thinking all our next steps to get out of there. I squeezed his hand to get his attention.
"Tom, I'm fine. Let's go, but stay calm because I promise I'm not even in pain yet, just a bit uncomfortable" I smiled sweetly at him and he nodded smiling back.
I sighed as we walked outside. We were having a baby in a few hours.
