My belly was starting to seriously grow. Now, with five months, and according to my doctor, my baby had not only a heart beat but was starting to hear and feel me through the womb.
I was so excited to have him or her with me as soon as possible.
As I walked in the livingroom I saw Tom holding a thick book and approached him.
"What're you reading love?" I asked sitting beside my husband. Tom chuckled and showed me the book between his hands.
"You bought a book of names?" He nodded proud laying back on the couch passing an arm behind my head.
"I did darling. I wanted to have in mind some names before our appointment from this week. We're finally going to know if we're having a baby girl or a baby boy" I cleared my throat and turned them as best as I could to face Tom.
"My love, I've been thinking about the possibility of not finding out the gender until I give birth" He turned to me speechless blinking quickly.
"But why?" I bit my lip unsure.
"I think it could be a beautiful surprise for us" I answered shrugging. Tom stared at the floor thinking for a few seconds. Then a big smile appeared on his face as he gave my little belly a kiss.
"A surprise it is then... although I have already started thinking of names." He said as I showered him in kisses due to my excitement.
"And what names were you deciding on?" I asked laying in his lap.
"Well, uh Alice or Sofia if it's a girl and Alexander if it's a boy.... maybe William also!" He looked at me with a new sparkle in his eyes.I kissed him softly.
"I love them" He let out a happy sigh as he caressed my belly.
"Let's go to our appointment darling" Tom said helping me stand up.
