Instant reactions from both Dabi and Leorio. Dabi took a step back with a wide eyed expression, and Leorio's mouth dropped open. "isn't that the most prestigious school around here? How the hell'd you get in!" Gon beamed. "so I met this guy called Hawks and he was so cool! He had these red wings that he flew on!" he started. "I stole some of his feathers and we talked a little on the roof, then this guy tried to stab me" his eyes lit up a little. "so I dodged and jumped on his back, but he was super weak! I was kind of sad because I thought I'd get to fight him but Hawks called me impressive and asked me if I wanted to go to U.A!" Dabi started to walk away so he grabbed his hand again. "I'm not done with my story yet!" he dragged him back over with a giggle. "he says it's a hero school, but I just hope I get to fight strong people! It'll be so fun!" Leorio patted his head. "sounds great, knock yourself out" suddenly Dabi spoke. "are you just trying to take me in?" Gon blinked over at his distrustful expression. "no?" Leorio's eyes narrowed. "turn you in? did you do something illegal?" Gon huffed, "your fine with Killua and he's a literal assassin!" Dabi froze at that. "w-well..." he trailed off, then sighed. "you have a great point" Gon nodded in satisfaction. "exactly, and if he betrays me then I can defend myself. Leave Dabi alone!" Dabi shuffled his feet a little. "how can you want to go to a hero school, and still genuinely want to be friends with a criminal?" I don't see an issue with that. Gon frowned slightly, "why shouldn't I? you've never done anything bad to me right?" Leorio sighed. "don't bother trying to figure it out, Gon just kind of does his own thing" Gon bit his lip. "but I shouldn't probably introduce you to Izuku, not everybody thinks like I do" he thought back to the many times people feared Killua because of his background, calling him a monster and a murderer.

"well, I have to go now" Dabi said. Gon pouted, "already? Aw man!" then he let go and got out his phone. "give me your number or something!" he looked unsure. "how about you give me yours? I don't exactly trust you and your friend yet" Gon shrugged, then grabbed a leaf and a sharpie. He hardened the leaf with Nen before he wrote on it, then handed it to Dabi. "there!" then he made a second and gave it to Leorio. "I don't have yours yet either" then Dabi looked up at him with a confused expression. "how'd you do that?" oh right, they don't have Nen. "it's part of my Quirk" he explained, then he started walking away. "bye! Call me if you need anything!" Leorio sighed, then put a hand on his shoulder. "your fine on your own right?" Gon nodded. "yeah, you can go make money and get a house if you want or something, I can take care of myself" then he smiled. "and if I need you, I'll call you" Leorio smiled back. "great" then he gave Leorio the ring he found. "take this, I think it's worth selling" Leorio's eyes widened as he picked it up. "this is pure silver, where'd you get this?" he giggled. "secret!" then Gon leapt off into the trees. "Bye!" he waved. "bye Gon!"

A few days passed, Gon was getting even more restless. I want to fight someone strong! But he couldn't just walk up and punch someone, that'd be rude. So Gon started walking, trying to scout out strong people in the city. So far he found nobody after about one and a half hours of searching. Gon kicked at a rusty can on the ground, puffing his cheeks out in a frustrated breath. "why can't I find anyone strong enough!" he muttered to himself. "that's not very manly!" he looked over to see that there was this red haired guy trying to talk down two boys that were harassing a girl. Maybe I could fight them? He bounced over with a giggle, attracting all four people's attention. "Hi!" he said, before pointing to the two guys. "you two are jerks, wanna spar?" they both blinked in confusion. "excuse me?" the first one said. Gon beamed, "fight me!" one of them smirked, then glanced sideways at his friend. "how 'bouts we double team him?" the red haired guy tried to protest, but Gon squealed. "sounds fun!" he started walking and all three guys followed him, the girl had left as soon as she got the chance. "we should do it somewhere with less people, you know so nobody stops us thinking we're fighting for no reason" so they stopped in an alley way, at which point he bounced a little and faced them with an eager expression. The two guys who were going to fight him didn't look all that confident anymore. "alright, go all out if you want!" he said, dropping his bag. "I'm starting to think this wasn't a good idea" one of them muttered.
