Raints Origin

"Backbone of Raints? What does that mean?" The girl wondered to herself as she muttered the words.

'This is a history book part. So is that supposed to be Raints history?' Shina thought to herself again.

Out of curiosity, she finally approached the book to have a look.

As she took it, another book took her interest,

'The Origin of Raints'

'So these are really about Raints?' A gasp escape her lips.

However, as the girl reached the book, a voice whispered on her left ear, "What are you looking for, Shina?"

"Eekk!" The black haired shrieked and almost fall to the ground.

But the person stopped her from falling. "Careful, Shina,"

The girl looked up to see the woman earlier, "T-teacher Monica.." she whispered.

The woman nodded. Abruptly, she took the two books from Shina. "Hm, you know, Shina, these books are actually confidential,"

Shina immediately gasped, "I-I'm sorry, Teacher Monica! I-I didn't know!" She immediately apologized as she bows.

The woman with tied hair chuckled, "It's alright, Shina. My bad for putting it in the wrong place," she smiled as she ruffled the girl's hair.

"Um, Teacher Monica, can I ask you something?" The girl's face was full of questions.

"Yes, sure,"

"I was wondering, are you working here?"

"Work? Ah, you could say that," she smiled.

"Ah, I see. That explains it,"

"What if I didn't come and stop you from reading the books?"

"Huh? Ah, well," the black haired girl hesitated. 'Why is she asking this? What did she expect my answer to be?' She was confused.

But she tried to answer as honestly as possible, "I was quite curious myself. So i was wondering what's in the book. I'm sorry, I didn't know it was confidential. If I knew I wouldn't try to read it," she explained herself.

"Hmm," an amused look was on the woman's face as she put a hand on her jaw. "You really are a good child, Shina," she said as she patted the girl's head.

"Now, remember, this phrase, 'Curiosity kills the cat'," as the woman ended her word, she walk away, leaving the younger girl in wonder.

"Shina? What took you so long?" The girl in a ponytail asked as she put a hand on her waist.

"We've been waiting, Shina!" Another girl called out, holding some books.

"Sorry, everyone, I just.. got distracted. That's all," the long haired was out of breath.

"Got distracted?" Mika put a hand on her chin, "What happened?" She wondered.

"Well it's a long story,"

"You can tell us on the way out!" Nora cheered.

Shina took a second to think. Then, swiftly, she grabbed her two friends out of the library.

"Eehh?"

"Shina?"

"What was that about, Shina?" Mika asked, her brow curled.

Though, as she saw the panicked face on the girl's face she becomes worried.

"Whats wrong, Shina?" Nora asked, also concerned.
