If you guys got my last message... totally ignore what I said. I thought I wouldn't be able to update because my house currently doesn't have wi-fi, but apparently our neighbors like us enough to let us use theirs. Who knew? Anyway, sorry for the delay in updates. And, of course, thanks for the reads and votes. Peace!~RobynAster

I had never fallen unconscious before. It wasn’t exactly what I’d call a pleasant feeling. Falling asleep itself wasn’t all bad. One moment, I was awake, and the next I was out. It was when I was coming to that everything changed. First, there was the buzzing – a billion flies whizzed around me as I slowly came back to reality. The second thing that hit me was the disorientation. But as I started to focus more, I could tell I was on something soft. Blinking open my eyes, I waited for them to adjust to the light and found myself staring at the white ceiling of my bedroom. Not blue. Not pink. White.

Looking to the side, I saw the back of a woman. She appeared to be talking with someone through my doorway in hushed tones. It took me a moment to realize it was Gale: her blonde bob cut gave it away.

On the other side of her stood Arden, but I couldn’t see him that well.

“Gale?” I asked, voice scratchy. “Arden?”

They looked back to me and I tried sitting up, but Gale stopped me by slamming the door in Arden’s face.

“Uh…” I said hesitantly, giving her a scrutinizing gaze.

She cleared her throat and motioned with her eyes downwards. Following her gaze suspiciously, I saw that, besides for my blanket and sheet, I wore absolutely nothing.

“Whoa!” I exclaimed, pulling the blanket up. “What happened?”

“I was hoping you could tell me,” she responded, opening up a few drawers and collecting some spare clothing. “Arden told me after Forge hung up on you two, you ran outside, and there was an explosion of blue light.”

I rubbed my forehead while slowly sitting up, making sure I was covered. “Yeah. I remember that. But then I blacked out.”

“Arden says the explosion completely obliterated your clothes.” Gale tossed me the clothes she had picked out, then faced the other way.

“Wait, what? Obliterated my clothes? How did I… get in here then?”

“By the time I got here, you were already in bed, completely covered.”

I groaned, face heating up. How humiliating. My brother had seen me naked… and was the one who covered me up while I was unconscious. Not wanting to waste any more time, I quickly dove into the fresh set of clothes Gale gave me: black shorts and a blue T-shirt. Then I threw the covers off and sighed.

“This is the worst day of my life.”

“Worse than the day you found out you were adopted and had superhuman powers?”

“Touché. You can turn around now.”

Gale looked back to me. “We were just on the phone with Macy, telling her what happened. She thinks it’s like what happened when you were in the fire.”

I nodded, understanding. I had lost control again.

    “Did anyone see?”

    “We don’t think so.”

There was a soft knock on the door and Arden voice piped up from the other side. “Willow? Miss Gale?”

“You can come in, Arden,” I said begrudgingly.
