-A/N: already on chapter 20! This is crazy! And because of that, I'm giving you guys a bit of smut;)-
I woke up, inhaling a sharp breath in the process. Looking around I saw Severus and dad next to me, along with Albus, Minerva and Poppy...I was in the hospital wing...
"It's alright Emmy, lay down" Severus said softly
"Why am I here?" I questioned as I laid back down
"You've been out for the whole day" Poppy explained
"Out?" I questioned
"You didn't come to dinner yesterday so me, Albus and Severus came looking for you" Minerva said softly "Severus found you asleep next to the Lake"
"But...that means that I wasn't in the Forbidden Forest?" I questioned with furrowed eyebrows
"Not even close" Severus said softly
"Okay, you see she's alive, now let the woman rest. Shoo! All of you shoo!" Poppy said, dispelling everyone out...except for dad...
"I'll leave you two alone" she said softly towards dad before leaving to her office
"I got your letter, you said you need some explaining?" Dad said sitting in a chair next to my bed
Then I remembered the letter which I sent him.
"Yes actually" I said, sitting up slightly "it's about my powers"
I explained everything to him, and after a few minutes of silence, he spoke
"This is the worst timing ever"
"Why?" I asked, fidgeting with the wedding ring
"Taking ahold of your powers takes a lot of time and practice...and with the basilisk from the chambers gone"
"Actually...that one might be gone...but there are some in the Forbidden Forest" I said softly
"What?" Dad questioned with furrowed eyebrows "what do you mean 'there are some in the forest'?"
"When I was, asleep, I had a dream. And in that dream I was walking through the Forbidden Forest when a baby basilisk approached me"
"And you think that there are actually basilisks in the Forbidden Forest?" he questioned
"I mean, the only way to know is to go there and see" I said which made dad think
"I'll go there and tell you, you have to rest" he said after a few minutes of silence
"But what if they don't show to you?"
"They will, anyone who has Slytherin blood is master over any basilisk." Dad explained
"But...Voldemort also has Slytherin blood" I said confused
"Yes, but while he's a half-blood and a Gaunt...while you, you are a pureblood Sltherin, the only true heirs that Salazar wanted and has." Dad said with a small smirk at the end "take this and drink it, it'll regain your strength"
