I sat on the edge of the stage as music played. I didn't recognize most of the music. Luke came and sat beside me, and offered one of the cookies he had on his paper plate. I looked at then, and saw the all had written on them,'I Love You.' I was hungry so I grabbed one just for the heck of it.

Then, a song came on. I felt like I heard it before. I heard other students say,"Oh my god. I love this song!"

I couldn't help it so I said,"What's this song?"

Luke tapped me on the shoulder and said,"It's Try Hard."

"By who?" I asked.

"5 Seconds of Summer." He laughed.

"Oh. Well your music is already being played on Pandora. Congratz." I smiled.

Luke was still laughing a bit. It was more of a smile though. Then, he stands up and goes to his backpack to get something. I just sat there listening to the lyrics of 'Try Hard'. It was a pretty good song. Then Luke comes back and sits next to me.

"Here. Did you get the card and rose?" Luke asks.

I smile and blush very slightly,"Why do you do this to me?"

"We all have only three choices in life. You can give up, give in, or give it all you got. And I'm giving it all I got." Luke answers.

"Why do you give it all you got?"

"We are born in one day. We die in one day. We can change in one day. And we can fall in love in one day. We can do anything in one day. And I'm determined to let you know that." Luke looks me straight in the eye as he tells me this. Then he asks,"Why don't you believe in love other than your parents?"

"You don't know pain until your staring yourself in the mirror with tears streaming down your face and you're begging yourself to just hold on and be strong. That is love to me."

"Yes, there comes a when it doesn't last, but some love never dies." He looks in my eyes,"I think something happened between you and someone before I came back. That's why you don't believe."

"Why do you care?" I ask.

"It's easier to build up a child, than it is to repair an adult. Just remember that." Luke stops staring into my eyes and walks away.

When Luke wasn't in sight, I got the rose out and looked at it. I smiled. Then I got card out and read it.

It read: Dear Cass, I know what you say about love, but I have to say this. I love you. I truly do. And I won't stop. Ever. I hope you have an most amazing Valentine's Day. You deserve it. You're so beautiful, everytime I see you I get chills going down my spine. I Love You. -Love, Luke Hemmings
