Synopsis
Meet Charlie Hendrix. A wise, educated, shy, quiet, observant 17 year old girl. Who loves writing poems about what she feels and sees. She's not like the girls people refer to as 'normal'. She has no friends, never goes out, stays in the books, complicated, wears dark colors, hates dresses and skirts, loves to watch the stars and catch butterflies.
But all that changes when she reunites with a childhood rival, Donald DeGrate, 8 years after their fight at a playground, when she returns back to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a permanent stay.
Will Charlie's fall for Donald, the rebellious church boy, change her demeanor? Will the reality checks the couples face change their relationship... forever?
