"you will never be unloved by me, you are far too well tangled into my soul."
---"I want to watch Beauty and the Beast," Melody said as she got comfortable on the couch.
We just finished watching another Disney princess movie, The Princess, and the Frog, and now she wants to watch another one. I have to start making dinner though because Willow is coming over and Melody still didn't eat dinner, so I need to start on it now.
"You sure you don't want to watch another Disney movie?" I asked Melody as I stand up from the couch, holding the remote.
"No. I want to watch Beauty and the Beast."
I, of course, put the Beauty and the Beast on and then leave the remote on the couch. Melody gets comfortable in the covers, and I walk towards the kitchen. Thank god the kitchen has an open view where I can see the living room and watch Melody so I can make sure she is okay.
Tonight, I am going to make mash potatoes, lemon chicken, and then a Caesar salad.
As I start making the mashed potatoes, the doorbell rings bring my attention away from the food and towards Melody who was still watching the movie.
I wash my hands before going towards the front door and I open it and see Willow with her hair down and her arms to her side. My eyes travel to her face, and I see her eyes are a little shiny, making me furrow my eyebrows.
She looks like she has been crying.
"Hey. You, okay?" I asked her and opened the door wider for her to come inside.
She nods her head and pushes a curly strand of hair behind her ear. "Yea. Just tired." She smiles at me. "What food are you making?"
She walks inside and I close the door behind her and lock it. "Mashed potatoes, lemon chicken, and salad." She and I walk inside the living room and Melody is still watching tv. "Melody, look who's here."
Melody lifts her head and turns to look at Willow and me and a big smile spreads on her face. "Willow!" Melody cheers and she gets off the couch and runs towards Willow before hugging her. "I missed you. I missed you. I missed you." She repeated.
Willow laughs and hugs Melody tightly and she says, "I missed you to beautiful."
All I can focus on right now was the fact is how much Willow loves my daughter. Willow loving my daughter almost makes me want to love her.
And I am pretty sure I am close to it because how could someone not love Willow.
But just the fact that she loves my daughter is enough for me. Melody is the only girl in my life, who I would do anything and everything for. I love her with all of my heart and Willow out of all people understands that and she would never get in the way between Melody and me.
