The whole school gathered in the school auditorium. It was big enough to contain a million people and it did. The students were over a million.

It was the first time, I'm seeing all students in the school gathered like this.

Mr Orwell came up the podium and started making announcement. It was also the first time I'm seeing him addressing the students officially.

Sometimes, I almost forgot that he's the vice chancellor of the school.

I sighted Elizabeth from where I sat, she was sitting amongst her follow Law students, all dressed in white and black.

She was putting on a wig which I consider odd on her.

I sat beside my two friends Jerry (the black American) and Alice (the plumpy girl who thought she's beautiful).

Mr Orwell addresses the student of the coming competition amongst schools.

The competition will be hosted, here in England. But not in Cambridge.

"At Oxford" Mr Orwell announced.

And Alice was wrong.
It was only six schools that was qualified.
Cambridge, England
Beckerly, USA.
Oxford, England
University of Cyprus
Harvard University, USA.

I was shocked to hear the last University.
"UNN, University of Nigeria."

My eyes widened.
Nigeria hardly qualified in anything, competition.

"Your country qualified." Alice nudged me with a smile.

From where I sat, I noticed Elizabeth looking at me.

I met Tonia in the library. She casted a quick glance at me and faced her book immediately.

I drew a chair and sat besides her.

"You were moody yesterday so I couldn't talk to you" I said.

She gave no reply.

"Well, I understand why. Your Mom is sick."

She gave me a sharp and furtive look.

"How did you know?"

"Theo told me" I lied.

"Impossible. Theo can't tell you that. Who did? Jack right?"

I nodded. She frowned and bit her lip.

"Is not something we wanted anyone to know about, so it'll be good if you just keep your mouth shut!" She admonished.

"I know that. Jack said is a mental illness, I think I can help her." I said.

She gave me a long look.
"If hospitals can help her. Then who are you to..."

I cut her off "I'm a Nigerian. In my country we used herbs to heal. We've got some effective medicinal herbs and I assure you, I can help your mom." I said, looking at her pleadingly.

She stared at me for long then asked "Why did Jack tell you about my Mom. What were you both discussing?"

The question was somehow odd concerning the matter at hand. But I answered anyway.
"He was trying to tell me the only thing I can do to make Theo approve me as a friend." I said honestly.

She turned back to her book and stare blankly at it. Then she turned to me, "Have you discussed this with Theo?" She asked.

"Nope. Jack warned me that Theo will get mad if ever he knew that I'm aware of the sickness. That's why I came to you, you can tell him that you've found a Doctor who is an expert in herbs. Convince him that..."  I stopped when I realized I was not making sense.
