You squeaked in alarm as Felix suddenly curled an arm around your waist and pulled you into his lap. "I've got somethin' to show ya," he mumbled as an excuse as he plucked the cup of water you had been holding from your hand.

He had recently gotten home from work and, as per usual, flopped down into his favorite armchair in the living room. His briefcase, which he normally left by the door, was brought along with him and set upon the little coffee table beside him. He had flicked open the latches and pulled out a large old book, however you hadn't noticed. You were too busy getting him an after-work drink and cookie to tide him over until dinner was done (or rather until it got there, you had ordered tacos after managing to burn your own attempt).

Felix took a moment to take a long drink from the cup before setting it to the side with a gasped "thank you" of acknowledgement. He opened his mouth once more to say something to you, but you just shoved the chocolate chip cookie you had also brought with you past his lips. He grunted in offense and his brow creased for a moment, but he accepted it anyway and remained silent for a while longer as he ate it and then finished up his water.

Felix cleared his throat and tried again. "So-," he was cut off once more by a quick kiss from you. That earned you a stern look. "Yes, thank you. May I?" You nodded and he grabbed up the book he had set aside earlier. With a dubious look at you, he set the book into your lap. "Jack found an old photo album from college. Thought you might be interested in seeing?"

You grinned and nodded excitedly. "Oh absolutely!" You hadn't known Felix until he already had quite a few grey hairs, and you'd jump at the chance to see pictures of him when he was younger.

Your partner smiled at your enthusiasm and flipped open the cover. Whoever had put together the book had put in a beautifully decorated table of contents that had sorted groups of photos based on the general time they had been taken. It must've been Rosemary. Felix didn't have the attention to detail this took and Jack didn't seem the type to go all out with something like this. It also helped that that was definitely not Felix's handwriting.

The first few pages of images were mostly Jack and Rosemary in high school, however there was one that caught your eye. You snorted and pointed at a slightly blurry photo of a frail young man with thick rimmed glasses, shaggy hair, and a face full of acne. Felix immediately groaned and tried to flip the page, but you quickly moved a hand to stop him.

"Soooo," you purred, "who's this~?"

Felix fixed the photo with a spiteful glare. "I don't even know how they got that..." he grumbled through gritted teeth. He met your thrilled gaze and rolled his eyes before answering your question with a sigh. "That's me. When I was seventeen."

You started to 'aw' and Felix looked about ready to vomit. He did lighten up a tad when you turned your head and gave his cheek a few reassuring kisses. You set a hand on his arm as he turned the page. A hint of a smile showed on his face at your touch.

Felix seemed pretty open to talking about the next few pages. Him and Jack were the subject of most of the earlier college ones, with Rosemary becoming more of a focus as well later on. There were some pictures of pranks that Jack had played on Felix which you found hilarious and he rather didn't, but he got more kisses from you out of it so he was content. There was also the rare photo that included Felix's ex-wife. Both of you were okay with glossing over those.

Felix seemed to really enjoy showing you the ones about the concepts for the restaurant, and you loved to listen. You knew how passionate he was about the business, even if he was most often too tired to express it properly.

Felix flipped the last page of the album and suddenly you were both at the end. He closed the book and set it to the side with a small smile. "What'd you think?"

You turned in his lap to face him and rested your head on his shoulder. His arms settled around your waist as he relaxed back into the chair. "I think you were very handsome." He deflated a little at that. "But, I don't think anything can beat you now." You smiled and kissed his nose, which made him smile as well. "Thank you for showing me, would love to see more if there are any."

Felix hummed softly in thought and gave you a soft kiss to your temple. "I might have a few more stashed away in a box somewhere. Might." You looked like you were about to say something, but he silenced you with another small peck to your lips. "If you're nice to me, that is."

You gasped and opened your mouth to retaliate, but there was a knock at the door. Dinner was ready!! Getting back at Felix would have to wait until later. Though thanks to those old photos, you now had plenty of ideas how.
