My trouble of finishing anything persists, so it's another short one for now.

The old wooden bench creaked softly under your weight as you leaned in closer to the boy sitting beside you. Your fingers slowly began to relax, releasing the bunched up fabric of his dress shirt from your hold as your hand came to settle gently on his shoulder.

His lips were warm against yours, moved slowly and nervously out of fear and lack of experience. You could feel him shift beside you, his body turning farther in your direction.

Your eyes opened slightly as the two of you parted, quiet breathing nearly drowned out by the thrum of music from the school at your backs. It wasn't quite what you had expected from a first kiss, though it was difficult to know exactly what to expect of it. Though, you were certain of the fact that you didn't think it would be with Felix Kranken of all people. He was always that one quiet kid at the back of your classes who you thought had zero interest in you, or anyone for that matter, but that had been proven wrong when he asked you out to the school dance. The two of you hadn't really done much dancing, but you wouldn't complain.

Felix laughed nervously and averted his gaze as he lifted a hand to adjust his slightly crooked glasses. "Thanks for uh- coming with me...." He fidgeted as he turned away from you and angled his face towards the ground.

You smiled at the sight of his flushed face and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "Thanks for inviting me. Probably wouldn't have come otherwise," you admitted softly.

Felix glanced at you out of the corner of his eye and quickly looked away again when he noticed your gaze still on him. A small smile tugged at his lips. "Y- yeah no problem...."

An awkward silence fell between the two of you and you finally looked away towards the ground as well. You shivered and leaned against Felix's shoulder for warmth. He didn't seem to mind, much to your relief, and you caught another hint of a smile on his face.

"You free next Tuesday?"

You glanced up at him in surprise. He was still staring at his feet. "Yeah. Why?" A small grin formed on your lips. "You asking me on a date, Kranken?"

He spluttered at the suddenness of your question, any confidence he may have had suddenly broken. "Y- yeah- well I mean-! If you'd want to-...?"

You giggled at his nervousness, which reassured him a little. "I'd like that."
