"If you want to find the Geo Archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year." A high pitched squeak came from the floating fairy as she and the outsider across over the long, somewhat dark brown bridge, coming to a complete halt. Lumine sighed sharply as she walked to the side to allow people to cross over without being in the way. "it's a good thing Venti brought it up earlier, otherwise we definitely would've missed this year's Rite of Descension." Paimon hummed as she appeared to the travelers side. Lumine scanned the area around them as the whole atmosphere was entirely different from Mondstadt. There was some food venders all the around as well as some kids running around with kite or playing together. Boats parked around the dock as sailors shouting to each other orders. The salty breeze in the air around them as Lumine turned back to face her guide.
"Well then, do you know when it is?" Lumine raised an eyebrow as she saw her own reflection in those starry like eyes. She rested a hand on her hip as she allowed her other arm to hang by her side.
Paimon began to nervously chuckle as she began to play with her fingers. 'Oh no, here it comes.' Lumine thought to herself. "Uhhhh.. it might be today..? Might also be tomorrow..." the fairy shrugged her shoulder as Lumine's eyebrow formed into a annoyed line, her skin wrinkling up as she used her free hand to massage her trembles, sighing heavily. "But look on the bright side!" Lumine look up to see Paimon's eyes scanning everywhere besides her. "We're in Liyue so let's go ask some of the locals!"
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try that." Lumine exhaled sharply before turning around and beginning to walk around, scanning for some approachable citizens. Paimon grinned cheeky before vanishing and reappearing to Lumine's right side, floating with her hands behind her back.
"Oh, right. About the Geo Archon, "Morax..." Paimon raised up her pointer finger, gaining the attention of the traveler. "Did you know? The Mora that we use is named after this god."
"Oh is that so?" Lumine smirked slightly as she came to complete halt, putting her weight on one leg as she brought her hand to rest on her hip.
Paimon nodded proudly before she continued. "But it's seen as impolite for people from outside Liyue to refer to the Geo Archon by that name." Lumine hummed to herself as she closed her eyes. "So we should refer to the Geo Archon by the name Rex Lapis, like the people of Liyue do."
"Noted." Lumine opened her eyes as she gave Paimon a quick smile, resting her hands behind her back, dramatically turning around, lifting up her leg without bending her knees, before reaching down on the stone ground. She began to hum to herself as she felt Paimon floating beside her, along with eyes following her every move. She heard a few murmurs here and there but it didn't bother her as much.
"She isn't around here, is she?"
"I've heard stories from Mondstadt about a female traveler.. could that be her?"
"Say..she's quite gorgeous, right?"
"She looks like an Angel!"
Lumine opened her eyes slightly as she turned to the right and began her way up the long stairs. Up ahead, she saw a lady talking to an old man. She had dark brown hair, tied up in a firmly low bun. Long dark navy blue Liyue dress that faded into white. Lumine smirked slightly as she thought to herself, 'my first victim.' Lumine quicken up her pace slightly as Paimon floated up ahead towards the lady. "Excuse me!" The lady flinched a bit before turning her head slightly in the direction of the traveler and her fairy.
"Yes?" She tilted her head sideways as Lumine managed to catch up.
"Do you happen to know anything about the Rite of Descension?" Lumine smiled sweetly as the lady went into a simple thinking position.
