"Dad!"
"You don't have anything to say to this? You did this to us, this nut, this is going to guppy's" You can see the anger in JJ's eyes. That money was for his restitution. We got it from the bar of gold that was found by John B a couple of nights ago.
"JJ, JJ don't please" You whisper to JJ as he looks over to grab the money back. JJ runs and grabs the money.
"You little shit!" JJ's dad hits him. He stumbles back but doesn't fall. JJ pushes him against a screen and into the yard.
"JJ!" I scream. He gets up and punches his dad. "JJ, JJ stop please!" I scream. I run up and try to grab him to get him to stop but he doesn't.
"You gave me nothing but a shitty life!" He hits his dad one more time before I grab him. He looks back at me and Luke hits him again. Luke knocked out JJ. I looked up at his father with fear in my eyes and begin to run finding something to defend myself with. I tripped on a wooden stump and fell to the ground. I look to my right and I see a wooden plank, as I grab the plank I hear foot steps nearing quickly and I take the plank and swing, hitting Luke on the chin. He stumbles back and I get up and swing again. He falls to the ground and I walk over to him holding the plank up to make sure Luke doesn't get back up. Once I am sure he is out, I look over at JJ who is just lying there and I run over to him side.
"JJ, wake up." I begin the sob and shake his shoulder. "Please wake up. JJ!" I look up screaming for someeone to help me, to help JJ and suddenly I feel myself begin to shake, I look down to JJ holding my shoulders shaking and yelling at me, "Y/N. Y/N!!"
I wake up from my nightmare to JJ shaking me awake. I'm breathing heavily, and sweating. I look up at JJ and begin to realize where I am and I start to cry. He grabs my face to look at him and he pulls be into him and begins to run my back and calm me down.
"Shhhhh. It's okay, I got you, it's okay" I stop shaking and start to settle down. Still breathing heavily I look up at JJ. "What happened?" Concern in his eyes and I take a deep breath.
"I-I had a dream about you and your dad. H-He, we had a bunch of money to pay off your restitution, and your dad just wanted to take it to guppy's and buy something with it. You had gone to grab the money and then your dad hit you. You fought back but when you thought he was knocked out he got up and hit you and then he tried to come after me, I tripped and found a wooden plank or something and hit him. But when I looked over at you, you wouldn't wake up" you start to cry again, "I couldn't wake you up so I yelled for help and when I looked down y-you where screaming my name, and that's when I woke up." He grabbed onto you and held you tightly.
"Shhhh it's okay. It's okay baby. It was just a dream." He kissed the top of my head and continued to comfort me. As I began to calm down again I started to drift back to sleep. JJ stayed awake all night to make sure I was okay and wouldn't have another nightmare. I didn't move all night.

When I woke up, JJ was still lying with me. His arms tightly around me while my head was on his chest. I started to move lightly to keep him from waking and he began to stir awake, "Good morning baby. How are you feeling?" He said stretching and brought his hand to my face and brushed my hair behind my ear.
"I feel better. Im sorry I woke you up last night."
"No, don't ever apologize for something like that. It's okay. Do you want to talk about it?"
"No, I feel better than I did. Do you want to go wake up John B? We can get an early start on the water." I ask while getting up. I turned and looked down at JJ, and saw the concern in his eyes.
He grunts as he gets up, "Sure. You promise me you are okay?" I put my hands on the bed and look at his blue eyes, I smile a little, "I promise, it was just a nightmare. I know that you are safe here. Besides, I kicked his ass, so I feel a little more like a badass right now than anything else." I move a little closer to him and give him a kiss. He grabs onto my arms and pulls me down. I giggled a little and he looks over me while I lay on the bed.
"I'll never let anything happen to you." He says while gently planting another kiss. "I know."
I knew I was safe with JJ and he was safe with me. We would never let anything happen to each other and protect one another at all costs.
