'Hey, what do you say we go out to dinner tonight!" you hear JJ say.
"Okay, where?"
"Let's go down to the water, just you and me. No interruptions, ocean breeze, calm waters." He comes up behind and wraps his arms around your waist. You lean your head back and close your eyes.
"Can you make the sandwiches then?" You ask him. You hear JJ sigh.
"I was thinking something different." You turn around in his arms with a confused look. "Wha-"
"Just grab blankets and pillows and we will go." He interrupts you. You look up at him with an agreeing look.
"Okay." You jump up and give him a kiss then skip to grab everything you need.
You and JJ walk down to the water and you see a table and lights set up. "JJ what is this? I thought it was just dinner."
"Well it is, but I wanted to surprise you, I mean we don't get much time anymore to just be you and me. So I wanted to give you a special night." You give him a kiss and hug but you don't want to let go. He moves away and sees you with tears in your eyes.
"Babe why are you crying?" He gives a little giggle in his voice.
"I love you, so much. This is amazing and i'm really shocked, i'm definitely surprised." JJ turn you around and takes you to the table.
"JJ?"
"Hm"
"We can't have a picnic without food." He looks at you like he missed something. "You do have food right?"
"Wel- I- I mean" you cant help but giggle. "Kie!"
You turn around and see Kiara John B and Pope all walking out with little plates of food.
"So now we have servants?" You give a giggle.
"I need the money" you hear John B.
"JJ's just as broke as you" Pope states.
"And Y/N is your sister, so what makes you think she's giving you anything?"
"She's right you know." You laugh at John B.
"Damn if only we had a ship with gold on it." JJ joked about.
There's something I haven't mentioned yet. The reason JJ and I haven't been able to be ourselves is because we've been in trouble with Ward Cameron. We have been searching for the gold and found it but we also found out that Ward killed my dad. For some reason it feels like the calm before the storm. I don't know if it's just me or if everyone feels it but tonight is there most normal we have been for weeks.
"Anyways you two love birds, here is your 5 star meal, we have sandwiches and salads and delicious chocolate strawberries." John B and Pope set down to plates.
"Did you guys make this?"
"Yeah, this morning we where a little busy but had to hide it at the Wreck otherwise the surprise would have been spoiled. Besides my best friend deserves this. Your boyfriend does too." Kiara comes and gives you a hug from behind. John B Pope and Kie all leave and leave you and JJ alone.
"JJ?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. For everything, all of this. Everything we have been through this feels like the most normal night we have had in such a long time." You start to tear up a little.
"You feel it too? Like this isn't over." You shake your head and a tear falls down. JJ reaches over and cups your cheek in his hand. He wipes the tear from your cheek. You grab his hand and hold it there.
"I feel like Ward finding out about the gold and John B and I finding out about my dad that we are far from this being over. I just want it to be over, I want to go back to our life again." JJ gets up from his chair and kneels down next to you. Looking up at you.
"Baby. We don't deserve this, you don't deserve this, your dad, ward, John B, everything you two have been through with DCS. We will get through all of it together. That's part of tonight, I wanted to give you something special so you can feel like yourself, so I can give you hope back, I wanted to show you what even through everything hard John B, Kie, Pope, me, your friends are here. Your family is here, together through all of it. We will be okay." He tucks a piece of your hair behind your ear and strokes your cheek again.
"What if we aren't? What if someone gets hurt or we loose more than we already have?"
"It's not going to happen. We are going to get the gold, and we are going to put ward away. Thats what you deserve."
"I'm sorry for ruining dinner, this was so special and i'm a mess." JJ stands up and grabs your hand to stand up with him, he grabs a strawberry and gives it to you. He grabs your waist and all the sudden you hear music playing, you look over and see your friends all standing around a radio.
"You didn't ruin anything, this was everything and more." He starts to sway and you follow, he leans down and gives you a kiss. You guys stand in each others arms for what seems like hours. You look over at your friends and called them over. They run down and you all give each other hugs.
"Y/N we are here for you no matter what happens. We have always been here we aren't going anywhere" Pope comes down and gives you a hug.
"Lets go get this done." John B states.
"Lets wait till tomorrow, let's give these two their night together." Kie gives John B a pat on the back. You cuddle up next to JJ again.
"Can we go home?" You look up at JJ, "Lets finish this perfect night."
"Alright. You're done." JJ picks you up and lifts you over his shoulder and carries you back to the Chateau. You giggle all the way back. It really was the perfect night. And you could be more happy.
