two; survivors findings

Kat

"What where you thinking!?" My father yells.
"You could have been killed! You could have created a outbreak!" He continued. I just sat there with no expression.
"You aren't going on a mission tomorrow." Thats when my expression went from emotionless to disbelief.
"Come on! I'm the best!" I said, it was true. It might sound cocky but was I right. I've been trained ever since I was 5, way before the god damn zombie apocalypse. I had a life! I was going to go to a university and become a military surgeon. Fangirl over a stupid band, I was gonna explore the world.
"You have radio duty tomorrow." He said as he put his fingers on the bridge of his nose.

"Awe come on! Radio is the most boring thing ever! We rounded up all the survivors!" I complained.
"You weren't like this before Kat." My father sighed, all I did was cross my arms.

"General Stevens. To you copy General Steven's." His radio rung.
"This is General Stevens, I copy."
"Stupid zombies on west side." The voice that I recognized as Harry's said.
"Copy that." He responded.
"Can I go!?" I asked with my hopes all up. This was my Christmas present, killing those stupid walkers that killed- no. You haven't thought of her till now.
"No, it's to dangerous." My father said before walking out of the house.

I huffed and went upstairs to my room. I looked on my phone, yes a phone. It's not 1920! We still have wifi and energy.

I grabbed my headphones and laid on my bed. I went threw whatever. Some bands that I heard before, some I just found. I always wondered what happened to celebrity's. We do have one Direction, but everyone forgot them and they are known to be the five guys to do the best work with guns and missions. But they don't mind.

"And they say she's in the class A-team, stuck in her day dreams, been this way since eighteen." I sang along. Humanity has fallen ever since. No, this isn't gonna become "warm bodies." It's fucking real. We have sent our troops to find cures, we have even made contact with other countries. I've lost friends, family, pets.

"Mom." I breath. She died when we were escaping. I keep blaming myself, she sacrificed herself for me. I remember every moment. When the zombies ran in my house, me and my mother ran to the walls. But the moment, when her hands slipped away from mine, was the day I couldn't imagine myself going on anymore. Mia's dad grabbed me and ran with Mia too. But remembering as I looked back, she fought. She punched them and hit them with all she had. As she fell, another one jumped on top of her.

Nothing was the same. I had to mercy, I wanted to explore. I was always

Unpredictable.

I sat myself on the plastic chair with a huff.
"You know what to do right?" Niall asked. I nodded with a slump.
"It's not that boring, light up kiddo." He smiled before walking off with the rest who where going on the mission. I surfed threw the stupid radio stations as I looked around. Kids ran around playing with fake guns, they where smiling. Something you don't see everyday around here. I groaned in boredom and laid my head on the table.

"Ashton stop try-no-is goin-find us." A glitched up sound came from the radio. My ears immediately perked up at the sound of the voices.
"Headquarters of the protected quarantine do you copy?"I asked into the microphone. I waited a couple seconds before voices came. I moved the station until I found the clearest one.
"Copy that! Hi my name is Ashton, I'm with three others, we are stuck at an old ware house full of zombies, we ran out of amo a couple hours ago." The boy with the thick Australian voice said.
"Are you secure?" I asked.
"Yes! We need help, one of our people was hurt." Ashton said with a panic.
"If he is bitten, shoot him in the head." I informed sternly,
"No he just broke his arm."
"Okay Ashton, where are you? Do you know?" I asked.
"Yeah, there's a sign that says LA Wood factory." He said.
"Shit." I muttered. That was all the way on the other side of the whole Los Angeles.
"Okay Ashton stay on. Secure the arm. We will get a group there!" I informed before getting up. I went up to the wall where my dad was, he watch closely the wall. And let me just say, that wall isn't easy to get up on, it's freaking 100f tall or something.
"D-dad." I say out of breath. My dad turned around and I quickly caught my breath.
"four survivors on the warehouse on the East side." I informed. His eyes widened. I knew that he wanted to speak with them so we started making our way down the stairs. Which was much faster then going up.

"Hello this is General Stevens do you copy." My father said into the mic as we reached the radio.

"Copy that."
