it was just after 6am in the morning when austin let himself into athena's apartment using the spare key that liam had left at his apartment for him. he locked the front door behind him, kicking his shoes off before sneaking down the hallway to athena's room and slipping in as quietly as he could.
he breathed out a small sigh of relief at the feeling of being reunited with the girl he had fallen in love with, before pulling back the covers and climbing into the bed next to her.
athena stirred, eyes fluttering open, a sleepy smile appearing on her face when she noticed her boyfriend in the bed next to her.
"aus?" she yawned slightly.
"shh go back to sleep." he whispered, placing a soft kiss on her head.
"missed you." athena mumbled, snuggling her head into his neck.
"i missed you too." he replied, his fingers tangling through her hair, braiding it messily as the younger girl fell back asleep, with austin not far behind her.

athena woke up around 10am in an empty bed. she frowned, vaguely wondering if she had dreamt austin climbing into her bed.
she sat up, glancing around the room for any sign of her boyfriend.
nothing.
shaking her head she hopped out of bed, getting dressed and completing her morning routine before walking out into the kitchen just as the front door opened and austin stepped in.
"oh thank god, you are here. i was beginning to think i had hallucinated you." athena let out a sigh of relief, stepping into austin's outstretched arms.
"good morning." he grinned, leaning in to place a kiss on her lips, allowing himself to get lost in her lips for a moment before pulling away regretfully. "and nope, just went to get breakfast."
he held up the mcdonalds bag and athena gasped, letting him go.
"holy fuck, marry me." she joked, grabbing the bag from him.
"hopefully one day." austin smiled and athena felt her cheeks heat up slightly. he moved closer, taking the food out of the bag once she placed it on the bench. "i got you hashbrowns and hotcakes, plus orange juice."
