We're skipping to the next day, or at least after they slept, No one except Hunk has seen nor talk to Lana since.

Yawning, Pidge walked into the dining room. Already seated was Keith, Allura, and Shiro. Hunk was up and making plates, and Coran was working on the castle. Sitting down, Pidge took a good look around the table.
"... Still no Lana?" She asked, worry evident in her voice.
"Nope, The only one whose talk to her is Hunk and he refuses to say anything other then she's fine." Shiro explained, though everyone else looked away, all also worried.
"I told you all she's fine, Just has a few personal issues going on. She should be back to her normal self in a few days!" Hunk said, Giving each person there plate. He then continued
"Now, I'm gonna go give Lana her plate. I'll be back in just a minute" He then walked out of the dining room.

The paladins looked at eachother worriedly. To forget they all began eating, in complete silence. Keith on the other hand, was ready to follow Hunk to see what was wrong with his dear Lana to see if she was okay

(Well he didn't think of her as "his" just yet but we all know he will.)

Hunk knocked on the door of Lana, who had it completely locked since the hair change started except from when Hunk had brought her food before she slept. So she opened the door once again to let the boy in. He walked in and looked up immediately.

Floating around the room was blobs of water, moving in different shapes and sizes. In the middle also floating around was Lana laying on a blanket like blob of water that kept her afloat. Beside her sat a book called "Potions and Spells for All witches V.12." Though she was holding a book labeled "Potion, spells, and powers of a water witch V.8"  which she had just stopped reading to let in.

"Hey Hunk!"
"Hi Lana, I brought your food!" He said and sat down the food on her bed. With stars in her eyes she sat the book she was holding onto the other book beside her and jumped down, Landing with perfect accuracy. She quickly raced over to her bed.
"I see you finally finished volume 11?" Hunk said as he watched her.
"Yup, Took 4 months but I finally mastered all the spells and potions in that book." Lana said in victory as she picked up the first spoonful and sighed at the taste of the food.
"Well, You work fast. A lot of people get stuck on volume 5 and don't finish by the time there 20. But your already at volume 12" Hunk said in a "Matter of fact" type voice, and he was right. Not many people make it past volume 5 and everyone gets there powers at 12.

"Well I'm not like all those other witches! How's the warlock spells going?" Lana said
"Still stuck on volume 9 but I'm inching my way through!" He said in a distance voice, oh right. Hunks a warlock, like Lana.

Since they were the same age at the time, their families told them together. The whole reason the two even knew eachother is cause they're cousins. They were welcomed into the world of magic at the same time, started at the same time, but Lana was so much further. It seemed this is the one thing she excelled at no matter what, usually mastering spells or potions on her first try. But that wasn't enough, she aimed to be the first to learn every element. But that's enough of this subject, back to them.

"I'm sure you'll get it soon Hunk" Lana said reassuring her cousin.
Hunk smiled softly then remembered something.
"Hey, When is Amethyst coming? She should come a few hours after the transformation happens right?" Hunk asked.

Lana's eyes widened, She had completely forgotten about her coming.

Everytime a witch would transform, Her partner would appear if not already with their owner and/or friend to help. And after they would stay even after detransforming. Unless you had a teleportation spell for that, You wouldn't be able to. And the teleportation spells were all in V.25.
