Rona-yah, are you okay? Why are you standing up? Just stay put in your bed and take a rest.

Yoon Hee said as she looked at her daughter who was struggling to stand up from her bed.

Forcing a smile despite the pain and discomfort from her chemotherapy session, Rona gently shook her head at her mother and said

I'm fine, Eomma. I can still manage to sit down on the bed. Besides, I'll be taking more than enough rest in a few months' time.

For a parent, it was absolutely heartbreaking for Yoon Hee to see her beloved daughter slowly losing her life from the life-threatening disease she was suffering from.

She knows that Rona was just trying her best to look okay but she and Yoon Chul knows that their daughter is slowly losing the battle she was in. But despite of knowing this fact, they still can't accept that they are about to lose her in few months.

Why should it be her? She's way too young to suffer like this. She's too young.......

.......to be gone.

Stopping herself from breaking down in front of her daughter, Yoon Hee rushed towards her daughter's side and gently stroked her cheeks.

Stop talking like that, Rona-yah. Didn't you promise me that we will fight and win this battle? Didn't you promise Eomma that you will tour me and your Appa all around the world once you recover?

Feeling a drop of tear fall from her eyes, Rona took her mother's hand and said in a low voice

Eomma, let's just accept what the Doctor have said. Let's make the best out of the five months I have left in this world.

Taking a deep breath, she continued

Let's make happy memories within those five months and never think of negative thoughts. At least when it's finally time for me to leave, you'll have our happy memories in your heart as something that you will remember me from. Don't forget that I love you and Appa very much.

Yoon Hee couldn't hold her feelings anymore and finally broke down in front of her daughter. It has been months since they found out that Rona was actually suffering from leukemia and it was all too late when they have learned about it.

Rona, me and your Appa loves you too so much however, we're still not ready to let you go. As a mother, it breaks my heart so much seeing my only daughter slowly lose her life. It hurts to know that it is me who will bring you to your grave, not the other way around.

Still sobbing, Yoon Hee continued

Can you please not give up this instant and fight with us? You're a strong woman. I know you can surpass this.

But Eomma, I'm already tired.

Rona suddenly uttered that made her mother freeze on her place and look at her with an agonized expression.

Rona-yah.......

Eomma, I'm tired. I don't want to fight anymore. I can't handle the physical, emotional, and mental pain I am suffering from this battle. I can't do this anymore.

Yoon Hee didn't know what to say to her daughter anymore.

If she was hurt and burdened from Rona's situation, Rona was surely in much more pain compared to anyone. Seeing how she screams in pain everytime she was being treated and how weak she becomes everytime her chemotherapy session is done, it was a clear indication that her daughter was in so much pain.
