Sidharth immediately regretted revealing the news to her this way but he would have normally told her if she wouldn't have been getting edgy like that. It was late at night when he was laying on the bed, wide awake. He turned to his side to see and found her back facing him, he wasn't sure if she was awake too or not. She had told she was tired so assumed she had slept and why would she stay up for him?

"Sana?" he still called out, softly though.

'Lagta hai so gayi..' he thought and turned to his back.

"Han?" she finally replied after a minute.

"Kya hua?" she added.

"Vo um-mujhe nind nahi aa rahi hai." he mentioned. The room was dark as they had blown off the lantern so they couldn't see each other and felt relieved, the air didn't get tense. Once the face was visible Sidharth always found it awkward to speak it out.

"Toh mai kya karu?" she snapped. Ruining his courage left to apologize! "Laiba ko bula du? Yaad aa rahi hai uski?" she asked then, sarcastically.

"Kya? Kyu bulana hai usko?" he didn't get her meaning.

"Tu sach me thak gayi hai, kuch bhi bol rahi hai. Soja!" he replied when she didn't explain what she meant and turned his back to her, somehow managing to sleep.

The next day went by as usual, Sana was leaving for work after having breakfast with him.  "Kuch baat karni hai." he said.

"Shamko kare? Meko na thoda-" she replied, quickly picking up things lying around to clean the room before leaving.

"Nahi, tu shamko faltu bhadak jati hai baat baat pe. Abhi sunke ja." he cut her words through, wanting to talk it out.

"Mai bhadak jati hu? Mai!? " she challenged.

"Nahi, mera matlab-" he began to explain when she decided to cut his words this time.

"Sabse pehle toh tune jhoot bola, tune bazar jaane wali baat bhi pehle din chhupayi aur phir kal itni der raat ko aaya vapas. Tu ye sab karte reh aur mai gussa bhi na karu? Kabhi akele nikal jata ghumne! Kabhi kisi ko leke ghar ajata hai!" she shouted, getting irritated now. How could he behave all okay after all this?

"Toh tu kabhi jaane nahi degi uss baat ko? Bola na majboori hai meri? Mere haath mein hota toh mai bata deta!" he replied. It had been somewhat a 10 days and she was still stretching that topic! Why!? He had a lot on his plate to think of, to worry about. His kingdom, his family was in danger and he was here sitting helplessly. And she had her own set of moods to throw at him.

"Mere hath me cheezein hoti toh mai yaha hota hi nahi, apne ghar pe hota! Mere hath me cheezein hoti toh toh mai kabhi jhoot nahi bolta! Lekin sab humare hisab nahi hota na Sana! Maaf karde! Galti ho gayi!" he snapped with his breaths rising per seconds.

"Uh- Sidharth nahi. Mai. Mera matlab tha ke, mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ho kya raha hai." she said apologetically, toning down her volume, getting scared. He looked so lost, disturbed and anxiously angry. Not angry at her but something that kept his mind occupied.

"Tujhe kya baat karni thi?" she then asked, calmly.

"Kuch nahi, tu jaa." he brushed her off, not wanting to lose his temper again. The replied letter from his friend reminded him of his mission, his family, it reminded him of the unforeseen circumstances that made him run away. Not that he had forgotten about those but yeah, he got a little distracted being here, with his wounds and Sana around.

"Nahi, tu bolna. Mujhe koi jaldi nahi hai jaane ki." she replied, taking a seat next to him.

He didn't want to blame her for anything, she had been a great help and support, both physically and mentally. Her antics had kept him sane and food alive. And how else could she help, she literally knew nothing about his misery, the accusations laid on him and he still wanted to keep her away from that. That complicated scene.
