(I JUST HAD THE BEST IDEA, SO ENJOY THIS THING AS I FINISH UP THE OTHER CHAPTER!!)

It sat outside its body, watching as it lay there limp without any sound. The eyes were glazed over, cloudy as it stared into nothing. As if the void had swallowed its brain, slowly eating away at the soul. It had been days since it had left the body on the ground, for the body was it's own. It was denied access every time it attempted to slip back in, as if it were clothes. This had never happened before, all it wanted was to save them.

Yet it sat there staring at itself, surrounded by a single room that was an odd grayscale color. There was no sound, just emptiness that kept overtaking it whenever it tried to find a way. A way out, a way to see them again, a way to return. Jaw set in determination, it thrust its arm towards the body again. It twitched, eyes growing wide before clouding again. Denying access. How useless.

It didn't know what it ever did wrong, it only ever did what was right. How had it been trapped here to begin with? The soft hair brushed its forehead, reminding it that it was still human. At least what was left of one. The body was still breathing, laying there, helpless. How long had it been here?

It was useless to even bother thinking, it did too much of that anyway. It wondered if what it did brought them back, probably not. What a terrible deal, how had it been tricked so easily? How foolish it had been, to believe that such a simple thing could save them. They were dead already anyway.

It chuckled, a cracking, heartbreaking chuckle. It had been dipped in the realization of failure, the failure to do anything to help. It was its fault anyway, its fault they were gone.

It pushed itself off the cold concrete floor, rising to it's feet. It had been so long since it stood up, gazing at the empty room with a dead stare. All they had in the whole room was a single flower in a flower pot on a small table, the petals of the flower were withered, beginning to flutter to the ground, detaching from their stem. Just like it was detached from its own body.

There was also a single mirror, leaning against the far wall. It never was interested in the mirror, it already knew what it looked like, because its own body was laying there in the same room. The light above it's head flickered once, it walked over to the mirror. Looking into the reflective glass as it projected a picture back to it. Purple eyes stared back at them, the dark circles under its eyes had grown darker, making it look like it hadn't slept in weeks. That's because it hadn't.

It's hand came up to brush a strand of hair out of it's face, to see their eyes better. They had a slight glow to them, staring back at it with a almost begging manner. Gosh it needed a haircut, or not. How would it even get one here? With a sigh, it reached forward towards the mirror. Fingers touching against cold material, they went through it. Heart seeming to stop, it pulled away, staring down at it's hand in horror.

It looked back at the mirror, no longer seeing it's reflection, but a new place, totally white in color. Unlike the light grey of the room it currently stood in. It took a step towards the mirror, it seemed to be a door to a new place. Maybe it could escape through it. It glanced back towards it's body, wondering, considering. Should it really leave?

It ran a hand through its long hair, it seemed like it could not interact with the body, it may not be ready to support it again. Maybe going through this mirror would give it the time it needs to heal, to heal from wounds invisible to the normal eye. With one longing look at the body, it turned back to the mirror, huffing as it took a step forward to dip it's hand into the odd place.

Closing it's purple eyes, standing up as straight as it could, no, it wasn't just a thing, not a simple it. She, She. She opened her eyes, a new determination settling in her very being. "I will get back to you, no matter what I must do." She smiled to herself, "I will be back." Before disappearing into the portal that led to who knows where.
