The sound of an alarm was what woke Beau up from her dreamless sleep. She groaned in pain at the loud noise. She picked up her phone from the nightstand and silenced the alarm. Beau squinted her eyes from the brightness the screen emited, trying to focus on the time. It read 10:00 a.m., she had to be in for work at noon. Once she turned the brightness down, she could see that she had a text from Buck from about an hour ago.

"Text me when you wake up. "

"Also, good morning :)"

Almost all at once she remembered every awkward situation that happened last night. Her face felt heated with embarrassment. Also the fact that she left her car at the bar, there was absolutely no way of avoiding him today. Just act natural.

"I'm so glad I set an alarm. This headache in unreal."

Beau reluctantly got out of bed and made her way to her bathroom. She took a quick shower and got dressed for work before picking up her phone. Buck had texted her back.

"I think you drank the whole bar last night. So, I can imagine."

"Want me to swing by early so you can pick up your car?"

-

"That would be amazing, thank you."

Once she finished getting ready, she walked into the kitchen. Jean was standing at the stove, finishing up cooking brunch. "Hey sis, long night?"

"Oh, shut up. I knew you were awake last night."

"I was," She laughed, "Did you have fun?"

Beau thought about the the events of last night, smiling at the small talk her and Buck shared, "Yeah, it was nice. Until I got shitfaced drunk and embarassed myself, repeatedly"

"Wanna talk about it?" Jean asked. "Over brunch? I made eggs and bacon. I figured you might need some hangover food."

"That sounds great right now. I've gotta hurry though, Buck will be here soon. He's giving me ride to go pick up my car from the bar."

Jean starts plating food, "So, he brought you home last night? Such a gentlemen."

"Jeeaan, I told you we're just friends." Beau paused for a moment, thinking about what Buck said last night shortly before he left. "Though.. He did say something last night."

Her sister perked up, overly excited at what Beau is telling her, "What did he say?"

She felt herself get embarassed all over again, "Well, things happened and I tripped and fell onto the bed and he was trying to help me walk at that point so he fell with me. And I made a joke saying, 'are you making a move on me?' and he responded and it sounded so serious when he said it. He said, 'If I do end up making a move it wont be like this.' What does that mean?"

"Seriously? Marce, he's definitely interested in you. Can't you tell?" Jean tried to convince her sister but Beau never knew when someone was interested in her. Jean has seen people on multiple occasions flirt with her sister just for her to not even notice. She just doesn't know how to romance.

Beau thought about it for a moment, making her sister think that for once she's picked up on this guy's signals. But alas, "No way, you're just saying that because you want me to put myself out there. I mean, look at Buck. That man could have any girl he wants and you want me to believe it's me?"

"YES!"

"I just don't see it."

"I just hope this guy is stubborn because you're definitely a tough egg to crack." Jean poked fun at her sister before handing her a plate.
