so, if you dont know what shifting is, shifting is a trend that started on tiktok and amino, it consists of shifting your consciousness to a different reality. you can also change your appearance, age, name, height etc etc etc. basically, you become a sims character
edit: i forgot to say that its part of the mutiverse theory. the theory that there are infinite universes, and that every single thought you've ever had, is a universe. lets say i had an apple and an orange. if i pick the apple, it will create a uni where i picked the orange, one where i picked both, one where i picked neither, and it makes a universe for every. possible. decision. so theres infinite universes. and every single thought you've ever had, turns into a universe. infinite universes, cuz you have infinite thoughts
