Chapter 3. The Aftermath

Subaru laid there, looking up at the clear night sky as he already used something to stop the bleeding from his right hip. He slowly got up and picked up his nodachi, sheathed it, grabbed his bag, and made sure everything he had before he left was still there and turned to the door to leave. But before he did, the door suddenly burst open with the silver-haired women, the blond girl, and the giant as they looked around in disbelief and shock, and some mild anger for Rom due to how much damage was caused to the loot house.

'Satella' ran to the pirate, concerned written on her face as she checked him over.

"Are you alright?! That was really reckless you know!" said 'Satella' as if she was keeping a child in line.

"Just how old do you think I am?! I'm not a child!" responded Subaru as he really wasn't in the mood to deal with this right now, he just had a fight with a crazy woman and won, not to mention he was really fatigued at the moment... and hungry.

Before 'Satella' could respond, they heard a voice come right from behind them.

"What's all this commotion about?" an unfamiliar voice questioned.

They all turned around to see a red-haired man with blue eyes standing before them. His clothes were all white and he carried a sword around his waist.

"Reinhard, what are you doing here?"

"She knows him?" thought Subaru as he looked between the silver haired women and the red-haired man.

"Emilia-sama? Why are you in such a place? I heard people scream and I asked some citizens what was going on and they mentioned some fight going on at the loot house. I had to look into it.

Subaru looked away from the man now known as Reinhard acting like he didn't hear what he just said.

Reinhard noticed a woman lying on the floor.

'Those characteristics, she has to be the Bowel Hunter, no doubt about that.' It was obvious to him who she was, there were a lot of rumors and stories about her.

When Elsa got up due to her regenerating ability, she noticed Reinhard and knew she couldn't fight both him and Subaru at the same time, she would have to retreat and tell "Momma" about this man that claimed to be this so called "Pirate" maybe she'd know something after all. She quickly stood up and looked at Subaru.

"I will remember you and I will have my revenge." And with that she vanished in a blink of an eye.

'Huh, what she just did was similar to what dad would do whenever he stole from the higher-ups.' thought Subaru as he looked at where Elsa once stood and turned his attention back to Emilia.

"Anyway, are you going to tell me your name now?"

"W-What?"

"I knew you were lying which is why I didn't give you mine. What's your real name?" asked Subaru as he narrowed his eyes towards the silver haired women.

Seeing that she was put into a corner the silver haired women gave in and looked at the pirate with a guilty expression.

"I'm sorry I lied to you...my name is Emilia, just Emilia." said the girl now officially known as Emilia as she looked at Subaru.

"Well then, my name is Natsuki D. Subaru, and I'm going to be the strongest pirate! Nice to meet you, Emilia." The Pirate said as he struck a pose.

"E-Eh... I'm not quite sure what a "pirate" is, but it's a pleasure to meet you too Subaru." replied Emilia as she placed her hand in front of her, indicating a handshake which Subaru obliged and shook her hand.
