Deep sleep, an abyss that Mercy had comfortably sunk into. Her slumber was entrenched in the realms of REM, making any attempts to rouse her a formidable challenge. In the living room, Beomgyu stood contemplating, his hand skimming over his chin as he brainstormed ways to break through the walls of Mercy's profound repose.

Pondering aloud, he considered the risky option of dousing her with water, though the potential aftermath loomed large. Beomgyu foresaw the inevitable scolding from everyone, not for the act itself, but for the ensuing task of changing Mercy's bed sheets – a duty that would inevitably fall on him.

Yeonjun, leaning against a nearby surface, observed Beomgyu's dilemma with crossed arms. 'Have you ever tried waking her up normally?' he inquired, a hint of amusement in his voice.

'Normally?' Beomgyu questioned, intrigued by the prospect of a more conventional approach.

Yeonjun nodded, his eyes narrowing with a subtle smirk. 'Yes...'

Perplexed, Beomgyu pressed further, 'What do you mean by 'normally'?'

A mischievous glint danced in Yeonjun's eyes as he proposed, 'You want me to show you?' He raised an eyebrow, silently challenging Beomgyu and gauging his seriousness.

'Yeah,' Beomgyu replied with a casual shrug, agreeing to Yeonjun's proposed demonstration.

Yeonjun scoffed playfully and swung open the door to Mercy's room, revealing her peacefully slumbering form. Chuckling, he approached her and gently brushed a few stray strands away from her face.

'Hey―' he began, interrupted by Huening Kai's voice as he leaned against the doorframe, curiosity evident on his face.

'Is Mercy-noona still sleeping?' Huening Kai inquired, his eyes joining Beomgyu's in observing the sleeping figure.

'Yeah,' Yeonjun confirmed before diverting his attention. He walked over to the window, daylight streaming in as he pulled the blinds apart.

A groan escaped Mercy as she stirred in her bed. 'What the fuc―' her voice trailed off as she realized the presence of the two boys in her room.

Huening Kai couldn't help but laugh. 'Good morning!' he greeted cheerfully.

Mercy, still cocooned in the warmth of her covers, mumbled, 'What time is it?' Her question hung in the air, accompanied by the telltale signs of a not-so-welcome awakening.

'12 PM,' Yeonjun answered, his eyebrows rising as he observed Mercy's attempt to retreat from the light under her covers.

'Yeah, no. That's way too early,' Mercy declared, turning away from the trio, her face now hidden against the wall. She burrowed deeper under the covers, seeking refuge in the gradually warming cocoon.

'How's that too early?' Huening Kai questioned, a faint frown etching his confusion.

'It is, listen to your elders,' Mercy retorted with a hint of mock seriousness.

'Mercy, it's literally 12 PM,' Huening Kai pointed out, a touch of disbelief in his voice.

Mercy responded with an offended scoff. 'Manners?!'

'Mercy-noona, it's literally 12 PM,' Huening Kai corrected himself, trying to grasp the unexpected resistance to a seemingly reasonable wake-up time.

'Is this how you wake someone up normally?' Beomgyu inquired, directing his question to Yeonjun and gesturing towards the unfolding scene.

Yeonjun shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. 'I'd shake their shoulders too...'

'Oh―' Beomgyu acknowledged, striding purposefully over to Mercy with determined steps. He placed his hands firmly on her shoulders, ready to enact the tried-and-true method of waking someone up.

Without further warning, Beomgyu commenced the age-old technique of waking someone up – shaking her.

'Beomgyu!' Mercy half-shouted, her exasperation evident as she pushed him away.

'Mina!' Beomgyu retorted, undeterred.

'Beomgyu, for fuck's sake—' Mercy muttered, her patience thoroughly tested. With a determined grunt, she pushed him off, the sound of his landing on the floor barely registering.

'Noona?' A new voice interrupted, and it was Taehyun.

Mercy's eyes softened, her tense shoulders visibly relaxing at the familiar tone. 'Taehyun?' she asked, turning towards the door where Taehyun stood, a bright smile lighting up his face.

'Someone is here,' Taehyun announced, stepping aside to reveal Heeseung, who had joined them.

A breath of relief escaped Mercy's lips, and she swiftly stood up, hurrying over to Heeseung.

'You're here,' she exclaimed, enveloping him in a warm embrace.

Heeseung chuckled. 'I am, and I got us a cab.'

'A cab?' Beomgyu interjected, crossing his arms over his chest in playful curiosity. 'And where are you kids going?'

'You know where,' Mercy replied, flashing Beomgyu a sly wink.

'The lake?'

'Mhm!'

'Mhm!'
