six: carno

at the entrance of the cave I find wooyoung calling out my name fretfully. I devise an evil plan and it takes place immediately.

"wooyoung, help!", I scream, running as the dilo follows me. wooyoung looks behind me and stress takes over his features. then, I stop running around and the dilo stops as well. he looks back and forth at my dino and I and then tilts his head.

"I'm confused I thought you were in danger, what is this?"
"don't you remember one of the main points of ark?"

he fiddles his fingers awkwardly and I finally give up on him.

"taming dinosaurs"

"damn, I'm dumb dumb, huh?"
san shakes his head lightly, before scaring the crap out of me by yelling, "I CAN'T BELIEVE WE THOUGHT WE WERE JUST GONNA LIVE AS UGLY CAVEMEN FIGHTING DINOSAURS"
"gosh you almost gave me a heart attack, please warn me first"
san quiets down at that and smiles awkwardly before a suspicious grin arises. I feel the hairs on my back raise and stutter out, "I don't like that look. what is it this time?"

he looks me in the eyes intensely, leans in, and grabs my face. I panic and my eyes close, thinking that we were about to kiss, but instead he lets out a laugh, "I was thinking that this is actually really cool. we should go see what we can tame."

I nod in my daze without even thinking.

moments later

"THIS IS NOT COOL"
"WHY DID WE THINK WE COULD KNOCK THAT OUT WITH SOME ROCKS"
san and I are now just yelling at each other constantly while being chased by two carnos and five terror birds.
"man, I skipped too many of my PE classes for this", he complains, I nod my head in agreement. we run back to the cave and somehow escape from the creatures by losing them in the trees. the dilo was in tow behind us as well, seemingly just as scared as we were as a poop flies from behind it. when we get back inside we just start laughing and crying from nerves and how stupid we are. "man, I know we almost died right then, but that shit was funny not gonna lie."

I wipe the tears from under my eye, "I-I just can't believe we threw two rocks at it and expected it to black out or something."

he laughs even more at my comment, remembering how we stood there awkwardly hair flying back while the carno roared into our faces. strangely enough he starts laughing even louder a few moments after the joke is in the past and I'm a little creeped out. but then I understand why as san lets out a massive fart.

we both stop and I can hear his fart echoing back at us from deep in the cave in the midst of our silence. I glance around and see a very alarmed look on the dilo, similar to the look dogs make when they glance to the side. I almost break out laughing, but I hold it so I can make the clearly awkward san feel even worse about what happened, I'm nice like that. after 2 minutes of sitting there, holding in my giggles, san puts his hands over his face and pulls in his knees as a large embarrassed blush pulls over his face as the fart finally stops echoing back at us.

I find this as the perfect opportunity and finally blurt out, "d-did you hear that? I-I'm scared."
he uncovers his face again at my comment and we sit there staring at each other and blinking for another two minutes before san starts howling in laughter.

"we're so immature, oh god, that was so bad, I'm sorry", san blushes out furiously.
"it really was san, like geez I know you like me and all, but you could've taken me to dinner first", I wink, a sly smirk on my face. san turns into a tomato and starts lightly slapping me aggressively on the shoulder.
"ahh, let me live, I didn't mean to. it just slipped out", he whines at me.
"that won't be the only thing slipping out tonight", I reply biting my bottom lip and raising a brow. san silences and stops slapping me. a solemn look passed over his face as he stares at me.

"wooyoung?"
"yes?"
"never say that again or I will willingly go to the raptors this time"

note: I can't tell if I hate or love this chapter but I do know that my muse disappeared midway writing this haha. my bad, it'll get better,,,,I hope 😗
