Chapter 21 - Let's Go Home

After the moment outside we all went inside to get out of the rain that was starting to get worse.

"I'm glad to see you're well, Kazuma-dono."

"I'm delighted to hear that your work is successful, Shigure-kun."

"It's going ok." Tohru and I placed the cups of tea around the table to everyone that had wanted some.

"Thank you very much." Kazuma says.

"It's nothing." Kyo sat in the corner of the room sulking.

So this is Kazuma Sohma. Kyo told me about him before. He's his teacher.

"Sensei." Kagura sits down joining us at the table. "It's nice to see you after so long."

"Yes, and you. It's been a while, Kagura-san."

"Sensei, it's... good to see you." Yuki greets.

"Well, look how tall you are. You've grown, Yuki." He points out.

"Tohru-kun, Ami. This is Kazuma Sohma. He's Kyo-kun's master, as well as the instructor who taught Yuki, Kagura, Haa-kun, and the others at martial arts." Shigure explains.

"Oh, I see."

"Nice to meet you."

"May I call you Tohru-san?" He asks

"Oh, y-yes."

"Pleased to meet you. I'm Tohru Honda." Tohru says, introducing herself. He turns to look at me.

"It's nice to see you again. You've gotten older."

"Have we met before?"

"No, but I saw you when you first moved into the estate."

"Really?!"

"Yes, I have heard much about the two of you. And I hear that you know about the zodiac spirits." He says

"Ah yes."

"I see." His eyes land on me.

"Kyo-kun. Why don't you get out of the corner and greet him? You haven't seen him since your mountain seclusion, right? Aren't you happy to see him?" Shigure ponders, Kyo jumps from his spot.

"I-" He stops, his eyes glaring at Yuki before walking off most likely to his room.

"Kyo?" I call out hoping from him to stop.

"Which room belongs to Kyo?" Kazuma asks.

"Upstairs to the right. I can show you." I offer.

"No, thank you. I think I can find it." He smiles and heads off after Kyo. Once he was out of sight Shigure and Lagura started laughing.

"That's so like him."

"Right?"

"What do you mean?" Tohru asks.

"Are we missing something?" I questioned.

"You see, Kyo-un is actually really happy to see him, but he doesn't want to show us that. Especially not Yun-chan." Kagura explains.

Because Kagura was here she was helping Tohru and I make dinner.

"So Master-san is not one of the zodiac members?"

"No, but he is from the main family. They say Sensei's grandfather had the cat spirit before Kyo-kun. So Sensei may be the one who best understands Kyo-kun's situation. But it always seemed more like he really loves Kyo. As a real father would." Kagura explains
