Chapter 36 - There's Just No Way!

I was walking home with Tohru and we had gotten to the house to see that the door leading to the living room was wide open. The sun was setting and the room had a red glow to it. Inside curled up near the corner was a girl. She had the longest dark hair I have ever seen. Tohru drops her bag and the girl flinches at the noise. She starts crawling backwards further into the corner with her hands protecting her face.

"I-Isuzu." Tohru mumbles.

"Isuzu Sohma?" I repeat. The only zodiac member I have yet to meet. The spirit of the horse. Her name was Isuzu Sohma but most people from the main house would call her Rin.

"Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me!" She says bringing her hands closer to her face. "Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me!Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Don't yell at me! Mommy! Daddy! Don't yell at me..." In the moment I saw Tohru go to her and pull her into a gentle hug. It wasn't long after Shigure arrived and called Hatori. During this time she had transformed into a horse because of her weekend state and we were no longer able to take her anywhere. When she finally turned back into a human we placed her in Tohru's bed. As she slept I could see the tears falling.

"Mom..." She mumbles before slowly opening her eyes.

"Isuzu-san? Are you awake? How are you feeling?" Tohru asked. SHe sits up quickly and both Tohru and I push her back down so she is back to lying on the bed.

"Please don't get up. You need to rest."

"I'll let Hatori-san know that you're awake." Tohru goes downstairs and I stay behind with her.

"I'm Ami Sato, I wish we met under better circumstances." I say, introducing myself. A moment later Hatroi and Shigure arrive with Tohru but she heads back downstairs to get something for Rin to eat.

"Tohru-kun and Ami found you after you threw up and fainted in the living room. Then you transformed into a horse. That was a bit of an issue. We couldn't possibly take you to a hospital like that. So for the time being, we've just been waiting for you to wake up. Do you remember?"
"Isuzu, we are taking you to the hospital." Shigure explained to her.

"No, I'm not going." Rin responded.

"Isuzu-" hatori tries to talk to her.

"No! I hate hospitals!" She yells. In a split second she had gotten out of bed and was opening the window. She was about to jump out of it but Hatori grabbed her in time.

"Isuzu!"

"Let go of me!" She yells as Tohru walks in holding a tray of food. Seeing the scene that was going on she dropped the food on the ground. The food went spilling on the carpet and was no longer able to be eaten.

"P-Please don't, Isuzu-san! That's dangerous."

"Tohru is right. Jumping out a window in your conditions is not safe." I say backing Tohru up. She stops struggling against Hatori and sits back down on the bed.

"Rin, why don't you at least learn how to take care of yourself?" Shigure asked, as Hatori closed the window. "Especially if you want people to leave you alone... it's a must."

"I'll be back tomorrow." Hatori explained. Shigure, Tohru and I were saying goodbye to him.

"I wonder why Isuzu-san came to visit in the first place... she seemed to be in so much pain." Tohru sighed.

"Hmm, well the truth is... Rin and I are dating." Shigure responded.

"Huh?!"

"What?! I-Is that true?!" Tohru gasped at what she just heard.
