Part 11
You were so excited for this date. You haven't felt this excited and happy since the day you gave birth to Yejoon.
Picking your simplest yet cutest dress, you immediately put it on and hummed while applying some light make up. Checking your phoneagain for the time and placeNamjoon sent to you this evening, you hurriedly went out of your apartment to catch a cab.
Ah... you felt so relaxed tonight. All of the stress you had this morning vanished as soon as you receivedNamjoon's message. The white flowers waiting on your desk when you arrived at work also helped in giving you a great day.
You were smiling the whole time you were inside the cab. Finally, the driver pulled in front of an elegant looking café. Thanking the driver, you climbed out of the car and walked towards the shop.
The smile on your face instantly vanished, though, as soon as you entered the café. There, you sawNamjoon. He was smiling so brightly that it should be making your heart feel warm. It definitely would, if you were the one he was smiling to. But, no. Across him, sitting in which should he your spot, was another girl. Her back was to you so you couldn't really tell what she looked like, but base on how Namjoon reacts to what she's saying, you can conclude that they knew each other.
Maybe you'll just wait here until the girl leaves. She's just probably an old friend or something. You tried to feed that thought to your mind but you already had a bad feeling about this. Your heart already felt heavy.
While watching them, you saw the girl stood and Namjoon gave her a confused gaze, but he was still smiling. Then she went overNamjoon's side and she motioned for him to stand up, in which he complied. And, in one swift move that broke your heart, the girl kissedNamjoon on his lips.
That sight was enough to push all your dark thoughts again in the lime light.
Who was that girl? Was she his girlfriend? His ex-girlfriend?Relative or a simple fan was obviously out of the question now.
Your hand went to your mouth instinctively to cover up the sobs that were quietly escaping your lips. You saw Namjoon's eyes flickered over to yours. Maybe your sobs weren't as quiet as you think they were.
His eyes widened as soon as it met yours and you didn't wait to see what he'll do next. You turned on your heels and ran out of the café.
You're such a fool. You already knew this was going to happen if you let your heart lead you again, but did you listen? No. Of course not. Because you're such a masochist. You probably love pain because you were attracted to the person giving it to you.
Who was that girl, anyway? Maybe it's his girlfriend. Maybe she had been his girlfriend even before you two met. Maybe that's why he said that your night with him was a mistake. Because he already was committed to someone.
What if you went through that dinner date with him without knowing this? At the end of the day,Namjoon would probably feel guilty again and say that your date with him was another mistake.
The thought made you stop running and you laughed bitterly.
Yeah. Because that's how your time with him always ends, right? With it just being another mistake.
Oh, well then. You swear this would be your last mistake with him. You wouldn't trust him again. You would never -
"Y/N." Your thoughts were interrupted by Namjoon's voice. You turned and saw him behind you, panting hard, his hair was all disheveled. Did he run after you? "Y/N, let me explain."
"No," you said, your voice cracking from your tears. You met him straight in the eyes as you felt all those past pain resurface. "No, I won't let you explain."
