Teaser chapter/prologue.

Please Read A/N

I'm going to release this chapter and leave it for a while without posting another so you guys can get used to my writing style – also so I can get the gist of things. This chapter is longer than most will be. Please give any constructive criticism and notes you have for me, as I will read through comments (if I get to it). Also, I was gonna write half the book's dialogue (well the portions that are with the Hesperides family) in Greek. But I think I'll just have some Greek shit thrown in when they're at school. So any time they're with their parents/at home, they speak Greek, but written in English so readers understand. I'll also let you know when languages change

Thank you for your time

TW::: ABÜSE ( ☹︎☹︎☹︎)
June/1975 – The Summer of 4th Year/pre 5th Year

Artemis Hesperides stood in the summer rain, her brown curls getting frizzier the longer she hesitated. Her fist was hovering over the door. Debating. To knock, or not to knock, that is the question. She scrunched her eyes shut and quickly let out an anxious breath before knocking quickly and stepping back behind her siblings. This will not be good, she thought

"I can't believe you two!" Athena Hesperides, screamed in Greek fury as she opened the door.
She pushed past her youngest children, Eris and Eros, who snickered at the treatment of their siblings and sat on the stairs to watch.

Athena dragged Artemis and her brother by the ears into the foyer of the house, all whilst screaming, "Getting kicked out! KICKED OUT!! Of Durmstrang! And for being unregistered animagi! Artemis, Ares, I thought I raised you better! Why can't you be more like Apollo?" The woman gestured to her eldest son (by like thirteen minutes) and exclaimed, "He would never dream of doing such a thing!"

Artemis felt her heart sink. I should be used to it by now, she thought, as that's how it always was. Ares and Artemis being compared, day in day out to their perfect triplet brother.

"Mother, we're sor-"

The two fourteen year olds got a sharp thwack in the knees with a cane. "Ah, save your worthless apologies, your father is coming home this evening and we will be discussing your consequences then. Afterwards, I'll try to cover all this stupidity up. We must make sure our name, Hesperides, remains glorious and untarnished by your foolish actions," with a huff, Athena felt that she had done enough emotional torment for the moment and with a swift turn, her robes flowing behind her, she left the room.

Artemis weakened her posture with a  depressed sigh as Athena left. She looked to her right and made eye contact with Ares, and knew what he was thinking, knew the reason for the subtle trace of fear in his eyes, because she held that same fear in her own. They were both thinking the same thing, proof of which came as Artemis heard Ares' voice say, 'father is going to kill us'.
She nodded and turned to see Apollo looking at the wordless exchange with a jealous glare, but he wiped his emotions off his features quickly, as if it was a slip of his mask.

He was a rather striking figure, Apollo, his brown curly hair neatened into a clean-cut professional look, his blue eyes steely and hard -much like his fathers- contrasting his olive skin and the freckles that used to dust his cheeks as a child had faded.

Ares on the other hand, had untameable brown curls that refused to stay in order, no matter how much Sleekeazy's hair potion was used (Once a whole bottle was used and all that was accomplished was Ares looking like he'd been in an electrical storm, Athena threatened to sue the makers for false advertising). Ares had ocean blue eyes with green specs throughout, making them seem to swirl every time the sun hit them.
