Part Eighteen: World of Crushes

It has been an entire week after the day Aria told me to leave her alone. Ever since that day I put the search for my mother on hold. I had no idea why I decided to stop searching for the only woman that truly loves me, well maybe she never loved. Maybe that's the reason why she dumped me with father.

Suddenly a piece of popcorn lands on my forehead. Confused I raise my eyebrows and before I know it there's a popcorn storm landing on my face.

"What the heck" I mutter as I shield my eyes. "Who is doing that? I'll kill you".

It's dead silence, the kind of silence where you can hear a pin drop. With an annoyed expression I look up to see a smiling N staring back at me along with a half asleep Neo next to him. Jungkook had a birthday of his aunt while Dane, Kevan and Craig were off doing something I don't really care about.

"Yah hyung he's alive" N shouts happily as he shakes Neo by his shoulders.

Sometimes I wish he was a little more human. "Yah be more human, there's customers in here" I mutter as we look at the few customers inside his mother's cafe.

"Shut up" Neo mutters still half asleep.

I came here often with Jungkook after school - now even with the other guys - but I still haven't seen his mother. For some reason she stays inside the office was what N told us one time, that she's always busy with paperwork. I guess she only takes his shift when he's at school. He did say that she pays him for working at their cafe so it's not that bad.

"I know, but these customers know me by now so don't worry about it" he snickers and throws another piece of popcorn at my face. "Besides be more concerned about your depression".

Neo nods as a big yawn escapes his mouth. "Yes now serve your customers and get us some coffee grasshopper".

"Ah kkaebsong, alright then hyung".

With those words he hops off towards the counter to chat with the people around it working on their laptop. I turn back at Neo, he must be up to something to just send N away like that.

I give him an suspicious look while wiping away the popcorn from my shirt. "So why did you send him away like that".

"Okay listen up," he says as he takes a seat across of me. "so you won't believe it but I was up all night looking for your mother. For some reason I feel bad about how things between you and Aria went", another yawn leaves his mouth. "So your mother is definitely in this city. I looked up her name but there's more ladies with your mother's name then you think. But she does have a business somewhere".

"Yes so what kind of business" I ask him curiously.

He pauses for a second since N was skipping towards us with two coffee's. "Enjoy hyungs" he says with a rectangular smile.

We thank him before he hops off to help an old lady in the cafe. Such a kind but alien like boy.

"It's either something that evolves a lot of coffee beans like an cafe or she has a restaurant. The chance is bigger that she has a restaurant though".

I nod as I stir my coffee. "Neo" I softly say causing him to look up startled. "I just want to thank you for doing this. I don't deserve this after how I treated you".

"Don't worry about it, besides I was also wrong for playing around with Aria so carelessly that day" he pauses for a second to take a sip of his coffee. "But why is it so hard for you to admit that you like her".
