Part Thirteen: N the New Crazy Friend

Zack Young:

"So after three years of living in Seoul- mum and I moved back to Australia because she was missing home, wait what was your question" N asks.

He had just told me his entire life story while all I asked was if he could pass the sugar, somehow he had mistaken it for something entirely different - obviously - so now I was caught up with his life. Not that I wanted to know, it's not like he's my brother.

"Can you pass the sugar, but never mind I already finished my coffee".

Jungkook snickers softly as he plays with his empty cup. "So N hyung, you don't have anything else to say right".

N makes a thinking sound while rubbing his chin as if he has a beard, an imaginary beard though. He then shakes his head. "No the rest of my life is still unwritten- wait isn't that a song," N starts to wave his arms in the air, really imagining the song playing right now. "lalalala still unwritten and more lyrics that I can't seem to remember".

I look at Jungkook who seems to find all of this normal. It does amuse me to see this guy's weird side but on the other side I wonder if he even knows what being ashamed means. Probably not if this is him acting normal.

"Anyway Miss Natasha Bedingfield-" Jungkook starts but N cuts him off.

"Whose Natasha Bedingfield," he asks. "is she your girlfriend".

Jungkook let's out a soft sigh. "No Natasha Bedingfield is the singer of Unwritten. Now shut up I was talking hyung" he says while giving N a sassy attitude. N mouths a soft 'okay' before letting his friend continue. "What are your thoughts about a guy dating an older lady".

I can't help but laugh softly, this guy really is innocent. Even the way he talks about Erin is polite.

"Eh Zack hyung doesn't agree, you playah" N says with a rectangular smile while hitting Jungkook's arm. "So what's her name? Where did you meet her? Is she hot? Is she that old?" N says shooting a question fire at the poor guy.

"Her names Erin Lancaster" Jungkook says while squeezing his eyes into slits. "I met her in class, yes she's hot but also really cute and friendly, and I don't remember the last question".

I roll my eyes at how these were sitting here like a couple of elementary students.

"Erin is around my age, a little younger though. She has no respect for the ones older then her, she has a sassy attitude and always invades my privacy by reacting to me" I mutter as I spin the empty cup around. "She's not always that friendly".

Jungkook pulls off a thinking face. "N hyung we need more coffee, and Zack hyung- I know Erin isn't perfect but those flaws make her perfect. We all make stupid decisions sometimes because we think it's what the heart wants, while we had intended the opposite. Not pushing away but pulling closer to us".

"Ah Kookie you are wise for your age, guess that's why you are in the advanced program" N says before calling his mum again for more coffee.

Somehow I get the feeling that Jungkook was giving me advice on how to handle Aria. But it's impossible to like someone after such a short period of time, love at first sight doesn't exist. It's the effort you put in someone in a short period of time that can lead to love.

I watch N who is now walking through the 'employers only' door. He somehow reminded me of someone but I can't seem to figure out of whom he reminds me of. Could have been my imagination though.
