Real Story Of Sohochori:
Year 1890:
Sorbojit and her brother in Law Anirban were talking at the inner Balconi of the Big Rai Bari. Meanwhile, Sorbojit's Father and her Uncle Janardar were talking about Sorbojit's marraige which went into Sorbojit and Anirban's ears. Anibar looked at Sorbojit teasingly while Sorbojit got embarrassed.
Anirban : Ki moshai? Tumhara wakt bhi aa hi gaya! Ab samjhoge mera dukh!
Sorbojit didn't answered but got embarrassed. His younger sister got marraied to Anirban a year ago so It's obvious as a older brother he has to get marraied too. Sorbojit has 2 sister. One is Mohmaya whom got marraied quite young so Sorbojit is not that close with her. Another is Suhasini whom got marraied last year. Sorbojit was pretty close to his younger sister but as normal siblings were....He was more happy than sad when she got marraied off thinking that he would get peace in this house. But now....his peace might not last long. Marraige is not the issue to him...the bigger issue is how will he face his classmates? It will be quite embarrassing for a 12 year old to tell his british classmates that he is marraied and has a wife. Now everyone in class will tease him about it. How embarrassing!
Anirban : Wah! Abhi se hi apni hone wali biwi ki yaadon main kho gaye? Wah!
Sorbojit : Kya dada ap bhi!
Even though Anirban is his younger brother in law. Sorbojit calls him dada as Anirban is older than him. Suddenly both of them realise that Sorbojit's father Sorotchandra and his Uncle Janardan are now quarreling. Sorbojit's mother and Janardan's wife came rushing to see what is happening.
Janardan : Da! Ap kya bol rahe hain! Ek Zamindar kaise ek das bansh ki ladki se vivah kar sakta hain?
Sorotchandra : Pehle zarur aisa nahi hua hain....par ab hoga! Rai khandan ki bahu ek Das khandan ki ladki hi hogi! Bas!
Janardan : Par dada.....Yeh hamari par purushoka apman hoga!
Sorotchandra : Humne keh diya na Jodu(Janaradan's nickname)!
Janardan was about to say something furthur but his wife Sonjukta tried to stop him. As Janardan was already angry he pushed his wife.
Janardan : Tumhne(Sonjukta) maine
Kitnibar kaha hain jab mard baat kar rahe ho tab chup raho!
Sorotchandra : Jodu! Apne patni se koyi aise bartav karta hain?
Janardan : Aap hamare pati patni ke mamle main maat ghusiye dada.
Sorotchandra : Albad ghusunga! Aise meri ankho ke samne ghar ki laxmi ko tum apman nahi kar sakte! Samajh gaye!!
Sorbojit and Anirban just watched everything quietly. Little does Sorotchandra know how much his brother tortures his young wife. Sonjukta is only 18 years old while her husband janardan was already in his 50's. Janardan marraied her just few months after his first wife's death. Due to the bad relationship between the brothers, Sorbojit's grandfather gave both brother different taluks to rule. They only meet eachother on special occasions.
Sorotchandra : Humme tumhne bas batana tha! Toh bol diya! Ab tumhne vivah main aana hain toh aana...nahito tumhari marzi!
Janardan : Maaf kijiyega dada! Par hum aisi anarth main Samil nahi ho sakte! Chalte hain!
Saying that, Janardan took his wife's hand and left. Anirban then looked at Sorbojit.
Anirban: Areh! Yehsab toh roj hi hota hain! Tum apni hone wali patni ka socho! Kaisi dikhti hogi woh! Kaale lambe baal, mithi hasi....
Suhasini : Ahem....
Anirban then realised his wife was listening everything from behind. He gulped after looking at his wife.
Suhasini : Lambe baal? Mithi hasi?
Anirban : Woh toh main bas apne saale sab ko unki hone wale biwi leke taane de raha tha.
Suhasini : Dada se zyada ap utaule ho rahe hain vivah leke.....
Sorbojit : Pata hain Suha! Tera pati mujhe kya bol rahe the?
Before Sorbojit could finish the whole sentence, Anirban shutted his mouth with his hands.
Suhasini : Pakka mere naam pe sikayat kar rahe the yah choti patni laneki baat kar rahe the issliye dada ka muh band kar diya hain na?
Anirban : Aisi baat nahi hain Suha!
Sorbojit then somehow got out of Anirban's grip and spoke.
Sorbojit : Woh Asalota!
Before Sorbojit could finish his sentence again Anirban stopped his mouth with his hand.
Suhasini : Asalota?
Anirban : Main sach main koyi Asalota ko nahi janta! Yeh kya bol rahe ho saale sab!
Suhasini then left in anger and Anirban went behind her. Sorbojit laughed while seeing his jealous sistet. Then he remembered he might also face this Situation in future. Sorotchandra already fixed his marriage without his permission with a girl whom Sorbojit doesnt even know. He doesnt even know her name! How will he spend the rest of his life with her?
