22. Trust

She was following him keeping her head down like a obedient child. He took her near his car and made her sit in the passenger seat and himself on driving seat. He was wasn't saying anything, he started driving and Pallavi was just waiting for him to say something, enough of her wating she tried to speak but he made a hand gesture signalling her to shut up.It was a 15 min drive and they were in the same lone place they came after shopping that day.

He stopped the car and got out within few sec. Before she could process what's happening she saw him coming towards her door. He came and opened it for her, she was afraid of his anger, looking at his face she can easily notice his furiously burning face, not to anger him more she got off from the car as soon as she could. He closed the door with bang, she shivered and closed her eyes in fear. He pinned her to his car caging her between his arms.

" Why did you do this?" He finally broke his silence.

Her eyes opened to meet his.

"No, it's not true, it's all fake accusation, Please trust me Raghav I am..."

"......not pregnent, I know Pallvai and I trust you. But I am not talking about this, why didn't told me this yesterday itself. I was so broken, I felt betrayed Pallavi, Thank god Amma cleard all things otherwise.....I don't even know what I should have done to you till know for deceiving me"

" Raghav, I tried to tell you yesterday but I lost my phone and Jaya aunty didn't let me go outside at night. I even called you from Jaya aunty's phone, but you were drunk."

He hugged her tightly, and softly patted her head. She broke down in his embrace and cried her heart out.

" I am sorry Pallavi, I should have been there with you. I am so sorry that you had to face this alone, but don't worry I am here with you now. I will solve all this mess, I won't spare anyone who is involved in all this mess." He assured her.

"I fear to be alone Raghav,not again. I love my family. I can live without them but not with their hateful eyes. I need to clear my name."

" What's wrong with your faimly Pallavi, why aren't they believing their own daughter, how can they just leave you alone in the middle of the night"

"That's what the problem Raghav, I...I am not their own daughter. I am no one to them eventually."

" What? What are you saying?" He asked out of confusion.

"Yes Raghav, I am not their daughter. I was supposed to become their daughter in law. But their son left me on our wedding day and never came back."

She told him everything that she was holding, every problem she faced. From being a orphan and becoming the daughter of D-fam, everything. After Mandar left, Vijay had a heart attack, doctor however saved him but his health was declining day by day, medical expenses was just getting increased. Since Mandar was the only earning memeber and he was nowhere to be found, Vijay was not in a condition to continue his saree Shop and Nikhil was small and hadn't completed his education, Pallavi had to support their faimly. Vijay's saree Shop got sold covering his medical expenses and other household expenses.

Pallavi had just graduated and was just 21 years when she got marriage proposal from Mandar. Finding deshmukh a decent faimly and Mandar a good man, her elder brother fixed the marriage. As she has no working experience she had difficulty in finding job but after running through different interview she bagged a job at the company she is currently working at. She worked very hard to maintain the faimly, the salary was not good at initial days but she use to work overtime to meet the expenses. She gave her best in the job and no time she got promotion and slowly slowly she was able to maintain her faimly.
