Chapter 4

You were casually walking with Korone back to their house. By how fond she is with the Cat girl Demi she keeps talking about, you start to get suspicious and think that they're not really just friends.

"So she's really relaxed but really loves sweets?" You asked, waiting for Korone to answer.

Hearing no reply, you turn around to see her frozen in time. You chuckle and think it's a trick. Moving closer, you put your hand on her shoulder and try to move her body, but she really is still.

"What the fuck!?" You exclaimed in surprise, trying to forcefully move her petrified body.

Five balls of light appear, circling you. Pink, green, brown, red, and blue. The pink one stops its motions and slowly moves towards you, stopping right at your face.

"You are Yagoo's new pet. Not much if I say so myself." The pink ball of light said, chuckling lightly before flying up into the sky, hiding amongst the stars.

The green one follows, "You certainly look less... majestic. A bit more like those pesky humans who trampled with nature." The green light said before merging with a nearby flower.

You are in shock, seeing these balls of light. Is this Yagoo's doing, or are there some other otherworldly being playing with you right now? The brown light shyly moves towards you, slowly moving up and down.

"Humans... you're like them. You look like them. Maybe you're as despicable." It judged. The brown light turns around and phases through the ground.

The red one follows rapidly, surprising you. It circles your body. You wince, feeling the heat from the red ball of light, "Weak." It muttered, laughing before it collided with a nearby fire, increasing its light.

The blue one, the last, inspected you slowly, "You're unusual. You feel like you're here, but you're not bound to time. Well, I'll test that theory." She said in a commanding voice before disappearing into thin air.

As the blue light disappears, all time continues. You still stood there, shocked by what you had just seen. Korone put a hand on your shoulder.

"Y/N, are you okay? You look a bit pale." She said, looking around your body to see if you sustained any cuts from the wolf chase.

"Y-Yeah, no. I... I'm fine." You nervously said. She narrows her eyes at you before shrugging it off.

"Well, we're almost there!" She excitedly said. As you were walking, your mind was deep in thought, still contemplating the recent event.

'A-Chan, are you there?' You asked, wanting to get answers from the mystical purple bird. She didn't answer, and you kept calling.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. We're panicking right now. I'll get back to you once everything is fine." She said. Seeing the unfortunate thing they were in, you found it was the best time to take a jab at Yagoo.

"Wow! The almighty God is trembling in fear, not so almighty now." You mumble, chuckling at yourself.

You saw that you were far behind Korone, and you decided to jog closer. You tripped on an iron bar that was obviously placed by Yagoo. You fell face-first on the ground.

"Why don't I learn." You grumbled. You stood up and speed-walked to Korone, watching your surroundings for more Yagoo traps.

"We're here!" Korone declared. A Demi-human cat opens the door. She's as laid back as Korone described her.
