Mr Khumalo : How are you class.
Class : We are fine and how are you sir.
Mr Khumalo : I'm good. Where is Paul?
Class : Absent.
Paul : {KNOCK... KNOCK...}
Mr Khumalo : Is this the time to come to...
Paul : I'm so sorry sir
Class : He's even dirty, like he was playing in the sand.
Paul : I just got in an accident.
Mr Khumalo : Follow me please.
Paul : Yes sir.
{COUPLE MINUTES LATER IN MR KHUMALO'S OFFICE.}
Mr Khumalo : You weren't supposed to be here, you should go to a clinic for a check up on your wounds.
Paul : When I wake up every morning. I always tell myself that I will never allow anything to ruin my success.
Mr Khumalo : But you really don't look good.
Paul : I'm fine don't worry about me.
Mr Khumalo : No. You're not. I'm taking you to see doctor.
Paul : But I told you...
Mr Khumalo : Ah urg. This is not up for discussion.
{13:00, IN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE.}
Dr Xilaluke : Long time no see.
Mr Khumalo : Yah. It really is a long time.
Dr Xilaluke : How are you Mr Khumalo?
Mr Khumalo : I'm good and how are you my old friend?
Dr Xilaluke : I'm also good, by the way. How can I help you?
Mr Khumalo : I have this learner who was involved in an accident and he continued to come to school with all the wounds uncovered and not cleaned.
Dr Xilaluke : That's bad. Where's he now?
Mr Khumalo : He's just outside. I'll go and get him.
Dr Xilaluke : You do so.
{THE SOUND OF THE DOOR OPENING.}
Mr Khumalo : Paul... Come in. Doc meet Paul, Paul... this is Dr Xilaluke.
Paul : Nice to meet you sir.
Dr Xilaluke : Nice to meet too son. I heard that you went to school after being involved in a terrible car accident. Do you mind telling me why you did? Especially with your wounds not covered and cleaned, which may cause infections.
Paul : Ah um.
Mr Khumalo : He says that he will not allow anything to ruin his success.
Dr Xilaluke And why is that?
Paul : {HE STARTS CRYING.}
Dr Xilaluke : Calm down and talk to me. I have all the time in the world.
Paul : Ah um... I come from a very poor family and it's only myself and my mom. She does everything to make sure that I have something to eat, even though it is not enough. But she always tries her best to keep my stomach full. Sometimes she doesn't eat so that I can eat and be able to do my school work. She believes that I can't do my homeworks with an empty stomach.
Mr Khumalo : I haven't heard anything about this, yet I told you to ask for anything you need.
Paul I didn't want to give you more burden than you can handle.
